I have only ever seen one more miserable comment section than this anime's. I really enjoyed the high octane farming, but people commented week by week how bored they were. Like why do people watch 20+ episodes if they are so bored…
I actually enjoyed the farming aspect of the anime because they were injecting the meaning of "carve it" whIch is to leave an impact wherever you go just as Thorfinn and Einar did leaving the farm. Einar played a great role as someone who has not lost the will of living when Thorfinn was empty. I liked how Canute grew as a ruler spreading his influence because it was a high contrast from what he was from season one. Even though there was less fighting this season, it had the message that violence is not only solution, and you should try pursuing peace as much as possible. Thorfinn's growth was the highlight of this season. It's not like he has it all together, but is now walking a path towards Vinland. Vinland Saga season two was awesome, and the story did outshine.
