Hey, guys at Late Show, now would be a good time to redo the godawful electric blue, its' cold and offputing. Please. Now, during yet another week of reruns. Don't care anymore what the reason is Colbert has been off more than on since coming back into the studio post-pandemic. It's annoying and an unacceptable diervice to the fans. I watch for Colbert, not the guests. I don't know who most of them are anyway. Plugging movies I won't see and shows I don't watch I don't care about them. I care about getting my Colbert fix of wit and witticism. He kept me just this side of a nervous breakdown through the pandemic and post-Trump world upside down.

I'd remember anyone who tortured me if I lived to be 100 and it happened when I was 10. Maybe he does't remember because he tortured too many people to recall.

Compare Biden’s age to other countries’ leaders and you can see that it really isn’t a big deal. There is a range of ages out there.

Trump isn’t that much younger than Biden but his age is really not why he is a terrible candidate. Do you really want the kind of younger people floating around the top of the Republicans’ list for the White House and Congress? The GOP has gone collectively insane and keeps pushing out the rational ones.

There are good options for younger Democrats but the question always is – can they win? The Democrats need to stay in power for a while to fix everything that Trump broke and let the GOP come to its senses instead of being the Party of Putin or simply split into Trumpian and rational people. Right now, there are too many people who will vote for a corrupt demagogue and his minions simply because he put Republican after his name. As long as they don’t understand how to vote for the Lesser of Two Evils in a binary system and just choose your battles to promote your own policy preferences – we are really stuck, especially with the Electoral College denying so many people an equal vote for President.

Biden may be a good choice because he is pretty much in the middle, which is where most Americans really are despite the noisy Trumpian minority. But he listens to the people wanting to go in other directions and actually (gasp!) tries for compromise. He was in Congress in pre-Tea Party days when Democrats and Republicans actually talked with one another and worked out compromises rather than the Republicans blocking everything originating with Democrats and having no feasible alternatives to what they block. He’s also honest and put his family above money, which is a huge advantage. Only Fox News addicts think otherwise.

Age limits for political office are not really practical because with age comes important experience. Look at Nancy Pelosi. She was probably the only one who could even try to handle Toddler Trump, because she has so much experience. Mental and physical health is the most important factor in deciding if a politician still can do the job (as in other things).

I know comedians are stretching for material with Trump not contaminating the Oval Office and practically writing the jokes for them, but this age thing is not really the way to go. Our politicians have much more legitimately mockable features. Too many people have experience with older people who are quite competent or are older themselves, so it’s kind of a comedic dead end. You end up just insulting a good portion of your usual audience this way because of the disconnect between their experience and what you are trying to say.

May I remind the comedians that Trump’s Postmaster General is still messing around and you might want to shine more of a light on him. He tried to sabotage voting by mail before and is merrily laying the groundwork to do it again. Just a suggestion.

I probably watched the DeSomething or other clip on five or six different videos before this one and this was the first time I noticed what was going on to his right. I did a double take when I saw his wife standing there because the first three thoughts that went through my head were:
1) Why is he standing next to a cardboard cutout?
2) Are they still doing the cutouts at events like they did during COVID at sports matches?
3) Did he bring a cutout of his wife with him to Japan or did the Japanese make that for him?
In hindsight, MoRon is such a two-dimensional character that he's the cardboard cutout in the scene.

They're such bitter, hateful, disgusting people in iterations like Stephen Colbert, Seth Myers and Jimmy Kimmel who were too obviously high school losers who were grossly unpopular, never got the attention of any girls and never got picked for any teams still fighting against the popular kids in high school like Trump, Pete Hegseth, Tucker Carlson and the anchors at Fox (and I don't even like Fox!). These "adults" still fighting the rejection and pain they suffered in adolescence are just pitiful to me and that's coming from a former punk rocker who hated high school and wasn't overly popular myself! Give it a rest already and let adolescence go, quit hating on the popular kids from high school as your motivation in life! It's just sad…
