When I got hooked on this show, I knew that it was going to make me cry at some point, and man they overdid it! I screamed, I cried, I almost pass out because I was hyperventilating with Miri as a teenager,(let me tell you, I prefer this version to the one Kazuki imagined) I'm actually still recovering while writing this. P. A Works weren't fooling around, they gave us an incredible story with only 5 hours of screen time, and that's all we needed, it did what it had to do, and it surely delivered. This anime will be in a special place in my heart from now on.

Something to note is after Rei shoots his arm, he's not shown using it in any of the shots to my knowledge
So it can be assumed he ruined his arm to the point it's unusable basically. Making him pretty much worthless to his father, and neither really gotta worry about the other side snitching because they were all apart of the same organization and did very illegal things. But yeah, def one of my favorite original animes if not my favorite anime of all time, just a super sweet show that told a beautiful story. 😀

The moment i saw them going to rei's home i knew it must be the end of the show, cuz what else would they have after putting the organization behind them? but i wasn't ready for that wholesome ass ending. Man that's got me sad knowing there most likely won't be anymore to watch. Definitely give this one a 10 for sure. I am pretty lenient but they also encapsulated that entire story in 12 episodes which i absolutely love. Those are some of my favorite shows is when they're short but also they gave us enough content and it gave me all the emotions i could want throughout the story. Happy times, moments that would make me tear up, characters i could hate and characters i could love. Those are the points that really make it a 10 for me. I don't need a complicated story, or a long series. This was enough, especially for what it was

I'm sure once she got older they let her know that her mother passed away, but I doubt they went into detail. Probably said she got into an accident, rather than saying she was killed by an assassin. Dope show! 8.5/10

yeah he permanently disabled himself, reminder he’s a walking anatomy enciclopedia so he knew where to shoot himself to become “useless” to his father, if you notice the rest of the episode all the way to the future in the pictures included his arm is always hanging limp

This ending was honestly perfect, what a amazing series 🔥
Honestly in the last episode once more surprised just HOW brutal this show actually is. Did not expect that death scene, but he certainly deserved it.
Also I love how they actually found a believable way to actually solve this whole issue. Killing everyone would not have been a solution because obviously the organization has more people working for them than just the ones present at the mansion. But taking over the organization would have been a longtime commitment whether they actually kept it running or worked on changing it "for the better", so that was not really an option either. Obviously they couldn't just talk their way out of it though.
So Rei did everything he could. He more than proved his conviction and the fact that his father had indeed succeeded in raising the perfect killer, just to pull the ultimate move. Of course, his father still could have killed him, but at that point he had nothing to gain anymore, and they certainly have some sense of honor in that family. In the end he had caused that fallout himself, and he lost.

I think that "Jingle Bells" might be the most universal Christmas carol. Silent Night is iconic, but it's religious. "Jingle Bells" can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of whether or not they celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Additionally, I bet Rei became "useless" after shooting his arm due to nerve damage. A shot to the arm can cause hand tremors, making accurate aim near impossible.
Also, I believe it was implied that Miri was told of her mother's death. I mean, she said goodbye to her mom's photo before leaving for school. This gesture is common in anime to symbolize a loved one who has passed. I am not sure about her father tho. . .
Amazing anime, had to give it a 10/10. This show was my serotonin for the weak, even when it was making me sad. I felt the ending was satisfying and even though there might never be a season 2, I'm happy with how it ended. Also Rei did mess his arm up, even in the time skip it only shows him using his left arm and hand but it was a sacrifice to get his father off his back to make sure Miri is forever safe. Too bad he probably couldn't play games anymore.
Im so sad that so many people haven't given this a chance just because they see it as knock off spy x family.

8:33 I saw a Twitter post pointing out how after this point we only see rei use his left hands for things so I think it’s safe to say he damaged a nerve😭😭
At first I was like “REI KILL HIM” but then I thought, the only true way to leave is to become worthless and not a threat as then they won’t waste time and money on you. Maybe Rei’s dad had a glimmer of something in him after all… idk

I give a 10/10 the best original movie this year and the ending was PERFECT and SATISFYING! Love to see them growing up happy, and Miri who still love her mother its so heartwarming, it's kinda sad she can't see Miri growing up beautiful as her but Misaki rest in peace ❤
From so close it broke his arm, and tore appart the muscle due to gas escaping the chamber. He would be lucky to move it afterwards at all.
My 300th anime and still 10/10 for giving everything they had to give in an anime for the genre
I love how perfect the ending of this anime original is. At first, I was on the fence about watching this show since, on the surface, it almost looked like a yaoi/BL anime. First half got me super interested in the show, especially since it didn't go the direction I thought it would. Then when the end was nearing, I read some chatter on twitter and some anime communities talk about "grooming" and how people started shipping Miri with either Rei or Kazu in the future… ngl, all the speculations had me worried again. I'm so glad they went the super wholesome route till the end. PA Works has been killing it with their anime originals!
