What a nice episode! Thorfinn and Einar needed a horse and so they got one haha. But no really the focus of this episode was so wholesome watching Thorfinn and Einar get closer as they work on their land. They’re becoming such good friends and it warms my heart. Plus THORFINN FINALLY SMILED! I’m so happy. Liked seeing more of Snake too and the convo between the old man and him was interesting. Hope you enjoy!

Hooray for Thorfinn smiling at last!
This episode was so wholesome. I love all these characters
Fun little fact: the "are we friends?" Moment at the end of the episode is supposed to happen at the end of ep4 (in the manga), but i guess it would kill the really serious mood since Einar attempted to kill Thorfinn in that episode so it's a nice change.
Also, check out episode 6,5 that was uploaded in mappa's official channel, it's not a recap and it lasts around 2-3 minutes.
Haha yeah one of my only nitpicks about this season is them not telling the audience how much time is passing like they did in S1. This ep starts in Sep 1015 and them sowing seeds at the end is Oct 1015. Loved this ep though, made me emotional multiple times.
After listening to Sverkel & Snake's dialogue, I kinda see a parallel between Ketil & Canute: The power of wealth & the crown; using it buy slaves or get conquered allies… in order to bring to life a dream farm or build "paradise on earth".
Einar's dynamic with Thorfinn was really good in this episode 😃
Einar's energy finally infects Thorfinn to the point he acknowledges him as his friend. Our boy Thorfinn is finally growing up, learning lots of things, giving a smile 🥲
We need a friend like Einar. The best bro you could have
Thorfinn just greeting everyone politely no matter who they are is just so wholesome.
This episode reminded me about why I loved this section of the manga so much.
Nice
This is my favorite episode so far. I love the warm and peaceful daily life. I think I could watch them work the fields all the season, and I am as curious about it as Thorfinn. Besides, the music is so amazing, I really love the piano score at the end!
"Old men love giving lectures."
-Snake
they do and its always a good idea to listen. old men are the ones whove been there and done it.
some of the best lessons ive ever learned in life are lessons that i learned while talking to an old man at the check out line at a grocery store or in the waiting room at the doctors office.
Einars laugh is so wholesome
DEVELOPMENT not only Thorfinn but we also see Einar able to talk about his family in a more positive light. As a manga reader they did such an amazing job this episode (other than a few wonky animation bits, very minor, doesn't bother me).
Vinland Saga is great anime its def one of the best based in Nordic n Celtic Mythology
I’m not sure what thorfinn you’re wanting to come back because he was not energetic and upbeat before😂
It’s interesting that Einar refers to Thorfinn as a baby several times in this episode. It is suiting as Thorfinn is undergoing a rebirth. It’s so sweet that Einar gets to give Thorfinn that childish wonder of learning for the first time, after all these years.
