That last scene felt heavy because it looked like a symbolical marriage.
Kyu was acting like the priest, and Rei and Kazuki like the husband and wife.
They even zoomed back to show the altar (the bar) and the corridor to get there.

I love that with each episode you can slowly see Rei becoming warmer and showing more affection, the way he gentled grabbed Miri 🥹. It's so wholesome cause we know from a short flashback that Rei lacked a childhood with affection from his papa.
