Chained Soldiers season 3 this is going to be a masterpiece

Some changes from the manga. Mira's lending session happened after the commanders meeting with Kyouka asking Yuuki if he still had energy to train with her directly after that. Not too big a change but I did feel it was a more tender moment. Also like most major reward scenes there was a longer version for the volume release which had Mira spawning and tagging clones in whenever she got too embarrassed.

As for other girls going farther with rewards than Kyouka, I think that's partially on Yuuki putting her on a pedestal. It does make her rewards a bit boring, especially compared to season 1, but it also means moments like their beach kiss can be assumed to be of her own volition rather than compelled.

As for the ending, it’s a build up for the Thunder Gods, which works for S3 teasing (though they revealed a special video on the Pony Canyon Anime YouTube, which is a teaser for Vavara, like how they did S1’s finale on JP TV.) Kyouka’s relationship with Yuuki isn’t really the big ship, which is why Tenka is here (she has a good relationship with his sister, doesn’t force Yuuki, but is active in her love for him, can support him as the breadwinner, and etc, while Yuuki sees himself as Kyouka’s samurai and she’s his lord.) Takahiro, the author, usually writes the romance depending on the characters’ traits/more realistic, so anyone can be the main ship rather than the expected ‘first girl’/FeMC trope.

Yuki doesn't acquire the powers of the girl who rides him, he acquires a power that fits the girl personality and will. In fact he couldn't get any size change with Shushu, he only got physically stronger (she is very energetic, assertive), and he didn't get copying power from Himari, he just got faster (she is a fast learner and to beat Yachiho and Homare she needed speed). When it happened with Fubuki, he became like rubber (she is strict outside but also very soft), with Izumi he just got wings to fly (she is very free-spirited). With Ren he became a fierce and indomitable beast who can keep fighting non-stop thanks to regeneration (Ren is unstoppable and merciless). With Mira he became a motorcycle cause she was a gang leader, so it fits a lot her personality. The only case the special power is kinda mirrored by Yuki is with Nei, but because her own personality is shaped by her desire to find her parents and she also dedicates her ability to sense others to help her squad, so Yuki gets supernatural senses but physically he gets very weak (in fact Nei is a child).
