12:45 so…the fun thing is that this is where Alcides died and he had to use his fourth labor whitch includes of taking Chiron's immortality and pass it down to Prometeus and he has Chiron's immortality as just a one time revive but since Chiron also fallen down from this poison it's not enough he merely avoided instant death to it and the poison was eaten by grail mud tho temporarly since he will lose his mind from pain and become something akin to his Berserker self later….

Regarding how far into the story we are: Light novel consists of 10 volumes. Right now 9 of them are published, but we still wait for the last one to come out. So no one knows how the story actually ends yet. As of episode 10, I would say the anime covered 5 volumes and I believe they will try to cover the 6th one with the last 3 episodes this season.

This is one of the most rushed episodes compared to the light novel

They omitted so many things like John throwing hands against Alcides and even Dantes cameo lol

So, Strange Fake happens after Fate/Zero but follows a different timeline after the events there( Fate Stay Night), following this the flashbacks make sense….In Fate Zero, Gilgamesh comes back to life after getting covered with the mud( that's why he is in the flashback). There are two versions of him in this timeline, the one who is alive and the Heroic Spirit. It looks like some time after the FOURTH HOLY GRAIL WAR(F/Z), Kotomine Kirei( the Priest) and Gilgamesh met the Little Red Riding Hood and cooked up something with the Einzberns….I think Ayaka is a Homunculus modeled after the original Ayaka( with black hair), and what is inside her is the LRRH. Just as Ishtar is a Homunculus from the Einzbern Family😁

The way my jaw dropped this entire episode. I'm 1000000% flabbergasted.

Visually perfect adaptation but when it comes to details, im a bit disappointed, i read till vol 6 {and some spoilers here and there} and i thought it would be impossible to animate till vol 6 with only 13eps but we entering vol 6 already, they cut out too many things. I know it is impossible to perfectly adapt source materials, espeically if it is a novel which has a very different way of story telling compared to animating it but I didnt expect them to cut this much.
Enough ranting, the anime is still PEAK despite that

I'm sensing a little anti-gilgamesh bias in the anime…1) richard should have had some swords impaled into him. 2) alcides was being hit by higher level treasures at spots where the nemean lion skin doesn't cover. He was cornered until he activated nine lives. Also he was momentarily dead via jack, flat and john combo. He just revived via special noble phantasm guts. Looks like the anime team is running out of steam, I guess there's only 1 episode left.

Between zero and stay night, gil drank the potion to become kid Gil and grow 10 years back.
