FAKEit (Re:Union) – Fate/strange Fake [AMV/MAD]

It's been 3 years since my old channel was terminated, I coincidentally cooked this up recently and it just felt right having this uploaded on this day.

This originally was just going to be a music edit extending FAKEit with Gil and Enkidu's clash from the trailer, visuals would've just be a still image that fades into trailer footage then back to the art. I later decided the music should get the justice it deserves with AMV/MAD visuals. I've done some AMV/MAD style stuff before but never fully for a video, the closest thing was "No More Nuzzles IIS: Heartbound (Re:Found)" which was like 1/2 AMV-ish. I definitely had went in without much planning and mostly just put what I felt worked as I continued forward but with only 1 rule, save the Gil & Enkidu reunion for last. The original purpose for this was literally editing the clash into the full song so of course I had to deliver that part the best I could.

Most of the visuals for this video is definitely chaotic & hard to follow…honestly perfect way to represent strange Fake lmoa. I structured this to have Gil & Enkidu be what grounds the focus of the video visually at the end, compared to the constant changing of shots during most of this video, their reunion would steal the show. Honestly the trailer did an amazing job for their clash, and I felt more hype with FAKEit in the back (I prefer the trailer's visuals compared to the final release honestly). Real shame we never got to see the actual impact for Enuma Elish animated here.

Audio was a lot more simple than I thought when it came to extending this a bit, though transitioning into the trailer was a bit harder than I expected. After experimenting in trying to mix the music and scene volumes I had to give up and just use 150% volume from the original trailer. Having the volume any further would make the sfx sound like they were breaking and overlaying isolated audio doesn't help as it would make things sound too overlayered. Did I mention this is really good music? Cause it is.
