  1. This looks goofy. Why is Netflix ruining a good manga one at a time. First it was seven deadly sins, then it was record of ragnorock, and now we’re back to ruin seven deadly sins. WHY

  2. The sword struck the ground, over and over, as if though it were a hammer that one were using to swat a fly with. Then… CRACK!
The Deathpierce-monster’s katana broke in two, cut in half by-
As the dust cleared, I saw Tristan’s arm holding what was left of one of his swords. But it was no longer a sword— at least not one made of steel. It was the idea of a sword, made from red tinged shadow, ending in a slight hook.
A cloud of darkness billowed forth, shoving the behemoth back several yards.

I shifted position to get a better view. Tristan’s eyes were black, reflecting no light, a pair of lightless wells, with what looked like dark tattoos around them, and a crest upon his forehead. Perfect.

Deathpierce swung its tail around to knock Tristan away. He simply flipped up and to one side, and then with a few quick strokes, Deathpierce’s tail got much shorter.

In retaliation, Deathpierce rained blows down upon Tristan. All it got for its efforts was a tiny trickle of blood. As if to silently thank him, Tristan slashed his blades, and Deathpierce was bleeding profusely. Tristan slammed both blades into the ground. A double river of shadowy tendrils gushed forth, flowing up Deathpierce, leaving gashes in their wake.

Deathpierce tried to escape. Wasn’t happening. Wings made of the same darkness as the swords erupted from Tristan’s shoulders.
In about three quarters of a second, he was well above Deathpierce. In desperation, Deathpierce breathed fire on Tristan. Tristan merely dived in, the flame was cut in four from within, and then it was over as Deathpierce, toppled to the ground, motionless.

    — An excerpt from The Benwick Chronicles, the Battle of Edinburgh, as told by Lancelot.
