Vinland Saga Season 2 is Simply a MASTERPIECE.

Vinland Saga Season 2 is Simply a MASTERPIECE.

Vinland Saga’s Farmland Arc being one of my favorite arcs in all of manga, I was dying to see how the anime would be able to give this arc justice. Mappa did not only do just that with season 2, they might have created a masterpiece.

  1. this is my first time seeing you and this is really an amazing video man, I know you’re not getting hundreds of thousands of views but with content of this quality you’ll definitely get there in no time at all, any true fan of anime would agree, don’t ever stop just keeping working and it’ll all pay off in the end 💪🏾

  2. 3:38

I don't really get why the drastic change though? like they made it more emotional and deeper, but for me atleast Einar telling Thorfinn that it's because they're friends which is why he wakes him up is more wholesome

  3. Bible Anime.
    Thors represents as Jesus
    Thorfinn represents Us
    Vinland represents as Heaven

Thors tells Thorfinn that he has no enemies so that he wont hurt anyone and wont live with the guilt and regret.
Jesus tells Us a commandment to love our enemies so that we wont suffer from sin and guilt. (because if we love our enemies they aren't our enemies anymore.)
Thors sacrificed his life for his son Thorfinn to protect and save him.
Jesus sacrificed his life for his sons (which is us) to protect and save us from sin.
Thors tells a place called Vinland, that is a place far from slavery, war, and violence.
Jesus tells us a place called Heaven, that is a place free from sin and a place where eternal happiness lies.

Thors sacrifice shows his unconditional love for his son by being a True Warrior. Thors did not killed any Askeladd's men nor did he use his sword to fight (unless to protect) in a way it's similar to what Jesus did, Jesus shows his unconditional love for us by sacrificing and he represents what a True Christian should be. that's why the priest in S1E14 asked who Thors was.

  4. 7:40

You forgot to mention that Askeladd states that this place isn't actually Valhalla or Helheim or any other afterlife and he iterates that it's actually a place much worse, it's the real world or "reality" symbolizing that even with the fantastical idea of Hell, real life is much more tragic and scary than those.

  5. Canute and Thorfinn’s conversation was a great scene, but Willibald the priest and Canute’s conversation about what Love(Capital L) is in s1 also stands out. These are powerful moments that I’ve never seen in any medium elsewhere.

  6. My problem with the criticism is that people are saying that he’s delusional for his views of being a pacificist and that the fighting tone down. I do kinda agree with the fighting but the thing is that this season was focusing more on the consequences of war. People dying and the decisions to be made. Also, if you think that Vinland saga has a communistic message, you’re actually delusional. At the end, just like any movie or music, we all have our likings and if y’all don’t like it that is totally cool but the creator of Vinland had a message since the beginning. We have no enemies, be the best version of yourself.

  7. Surprised you didn’t mention Thorfinn saying the Vinland speech to Arnheid paralleling what thors did in the first episode.
Also unrelated but arnheid was such a tragic character, as she literally had no choice over anything that happened to her. She sort embodied the life a woman at that age especially when she said “a woman can’t do anything to change the idea of men”. She wasn’t even trying to run away as she knew Gardar was dying so all she was doing was just sending him off with the idea of continuing his family. She was just a deeply kind person who was given a horrible life

  8. People who are not in tune with their emotions and are afraid to cry will not appreciate this story.

Its extremely emotional. Ive never cried and self reflected so much while watching ANYTHING.

  9. Respectfully, I disagree. I'm honestly not sure how people can consider 'Vinland Saga' Season 2 to be a masterpiece. Personally, I found this series to be incredibly shallow. Not dull, just shallow. I understand why some people think Thorfinn's journey to becoming more than his hatred and anger is compelling, I really do, but that doesn't make it sophisticated, profound, or even original.
In the end, the message the Author is beating readers/viewers over the head with is "Violence bad. Revenge bad. Pacifism good." This series is not the first (even in its own medium) to tout such a message, nor will it be the last.
Again, I can see why some people consider this to be a good series, and it is good – but a masterpiece?

  10. Vinland Saga is realy on of my personal big 3:
Attack on Titan – Best Story telling
Made in Abys – Best World Building
    Vinland Saga – Best Characters

All of these i woud describe as unrivaled Masterpices in anime and Media as a whole and Well deserved for the Hype they get

  11. No. It's been extremely poor paced for a lack of payoff. The amount of character growth Thorgin experienced could have been handled in 6 episodes with a more skilled writer
