As i watched Vinland Saga each week, it was becoming clear that there are levels to this. Other extremely hyped anime right now arent touching even the average Vinland Saga S2 episodes
As much as Vinland Saga story rightfully gets the GOAT status , I truly hope the music gets it's due respect as well. It really makes the impact 10x from the Manga
I remember reading this chapter in the manga and being so… overlwhelmed by emotions, I didn't think it was possible to capture this episode so well in anime format but I was proven wrong, absolute chills the entire time, we've been blessed with an incredible adaptation
Massive turning point
As Ange said, it becomes more and more clear that season 1 was more of a backdrop to the actual story which is season 2. It's so brilliantly written, and MAPPA has done such an amazing job adapting it as well. Probably one of my all time favorite series at this point, a brilliant seinen.
Thorfinn is thte goat, he will be the goat, can't wait too see u guys reacting more of this.

It's really sad that some people had to drop this season and doompost about it because of fewer fights compared to S1.
I love Einar because even though he doesn't understand Thorfinn, he TRIES to understand and supports his friend. When they both wake up, Einar is initially happy and jokes that is was satisfying to see Thorfinn punch the retainer, but once he sees Thorfinn's genuine regret and determination to be reborn, he says "I see. All right. I don't really get it, but I hear you loud and clear." I don't think Thorfinn would go down the road towards becoming a true warrior if Einar was not the one to walk along with him.

Everyone like this for them to make a top episode of anime of all time for what they’ve watched so far.
This is the epitome of character writing, You dont ever find a story as perfect as Peakland saga every now and then.
thorfinn's VA Yuto Uemura, also voiced young Grisha Yeager from Aot season 3 last episodes (his backstory). he also has other protagonist roles but you guys haven't seen anything else significant from him.
also Einar's Va voiced Olaf in the Japanese dub of frozen.

It would be more accurate to describe Vinland Saga as a drama centered around Thorfinn rather than an action anime. Would explain why all the folks who just wanna see action are leaving. Which is a pity because this show is a masterpiece.

The pacifist path story this show try to tell is nonsense. In order for you to be a true worrier (pacifist) you have to kill, 100's in case of Thors and his son Thorthin.
If this episode is a "10", we will have some "100" episodes and eventually a "1000" this season. No lies here.
This episode never fails to send me on a Feel trip, This is the peak right here Fantastic writing ive gained so much wisdom from this.

22:00 I disagree a bit with this view, because everything in the dream comes from Thorfinn's mind, so: the way Askeladd manifests himself in this fantasy world is how Thorfinn sees it, and has little to do with the reality of Askeladd's relationship with that world of violence depicted (this fidelity is totally dependent on the accuracy of Thorfinn's consciousness). I say this because I believe Askeladd's situation was more complex, and young Thorfinn probably didn't absorb it all in the most accurate way, especially given what he was like in the past.

Season 2 of Vinland Saga.. can be considered in most anime movies like.."Shape of you voice" … Or Kimi no nawa .. that movies is .. one of the best of all..and yhe people should or must acknowledge that.. 😅❤

But thay screw animation in last episodes, Mappa currently work on many crap like hells paradise, thay didnt give vinland enouth time
