Also, it´s kinda interesting how some scenes in this episode can be given multiple interpretations depending on how much context you have from the game.

It feels weird watching this. It basically feels like I'm playing the game without playing the game.
I guess this is just like a retelling of the game. I doubt they'd be able to fit in the 5 main endings though.

I really don't want to be that guy that tells people what to do, but like, it's like a person falling for a scammed and you kinda want to help them.
Like, you are experiencing this story in it's worst format.
I don't know how good this anime will be, but it will NOT be better than the game.
So, if you're continuing on this despite the fact, it's like you won't ever experience Nier Automata at it's fullest.
When you play the game you will instantly reliase quickly that this episode is near enough 1:1. it's so well done

Can't wait to hear Pascal's story all over again
From the first three episode, it looks to me, watching the anime first will take away a lot from the game.
Though some of the CGI assets are jarring, what they are adding to the characterization of characters and people should add value for thos who have already played the game.
Actually you do take fall damage, just depends how high and that section just isn't very much so.
Also, the music is ripped straight out of the game so you get to like it some more.
