Deleted Calls, Phone Data Puts Alex Murdaugh at Scene of Wife, Son’s Brutal Murder: Prosecutors

Prosecutors allege that Alex Murdaugh’s cell phone data puts him at the scene of his wife and son’s murder at their South Carolina home. Evidence presented in court also revealed that the disgraced lawyer deleted most of his calls from that June 2021 night Maggie and Paul were found dead. The Law&Crime Network’s Angenette Levy and GiGi McKelvey discuss the importance of this data.

  1. This family had been playing games esp Alex &his drugs, the family having power over decades.
We may all hate the Murdaughs, but none, not one not a single employee said that they were ill treated. I dont think Alex killed his family,
its a plot to take back, for revenge, against all the Murdaughs, as they do have so many enemies over years.
    Games maybe over for Murdaughs
but Alex, a licensed attorney ? Leaving behind forensic trails as a murderer ?
No, definitely not, but his drug buisness coupled with greed probably caught him now, with no GrandDaddy around to slide him through, which is interesting to watch.

  2. He was sloppy AF. The guy was just so used to getting away with everything he quit putting effort into his BS. I've never seen so much damning evidence in one case lol.

  3. Alex has admitted on the stand that he lied about being at the kennel less than 5 minutes before his wife and son were killed. The prosecution listed the many times, and people, he lied to about this crucial fact.
And if he really did come home to find them dead, why didn't he mention his kennel visit to the policeman on the scene? That's where the lie started.

  4. Paul had killed an innocent girl and was having his Dad handle the blowback, using his Dad for cover because of his connections, Maggie completely denigrated the family of the dead girl, sheltering her callous son. They got justice handed to them. Alex should finish the job in his cell.

  5. The Robust evidence that you said Defense had was awful There was no common sense argument made by defense. Difficult to defend a guilty man!

  6. We all need to remember he is an addict. The judge addressed that in sentencing him. I forgot what pills he took, but remember judge saying you're not you after taking 50-60 pills a day.

  7. It is just incredible that it took years to convict this scumbag!
Here we have an attorney whose corrupt family has ruled over 3 generations!
Here we have his wife and son murdered!
Law enforcement officers arrive the very night of the murder
    From here onwards
Is the kennel area forensically examined? What about footprints?
The housekeeper is told by the scumbag to "put the house in order", Maggie's way!
The housekeeper is told by the scumbag to not drive through /by the kennel!!!!!
This scumbag finally showed the world how criminal the Murdaughs (all of them, without exception) have been over generations!
Was it Buster who killed Stephen Smith?
Was it Maggie who killed Gloria?
Clearly, it was Paul who killed the 19-year-old girl in his boat crash.

It would be interesting to find out about this scumbag's siblings' crimes too.

  8. Should have brought in a phone expert, phones step counters are highly inaccurate and I’ve seen like evidence thrown out for like reasons, I’m an avid runner and I track everything and I can also tell you that if your pockets are loose and the phone can jostle around it can be off by up to 70%

  9. Everyone's taking the side of the procacutor,I really don't think he proved anything but defence att didnt work either, this needs retrial for sure

  10. I cannot even imagine the kind of mind who would buy guns for their children at any time, but at Christmas?? The season of Peace?? This American gun culture is just obscene. 🇨🇦

  11. I’m unsure why he deleted the phone calls. It didn’t seem to matter either way if the calls were there or not. The calls didn’t incriminate anything – deleting them made it look suspicious though.

  12. Bob needs an interior decorator. I mean: a torchiere lamp that’ doubles as a book shelf? Trying to decide what’s more tragic here.

  13. Well, usa guys… A question, can you leave weapons lying around like Murdaugh family had? In my country it is a big no, but i have no idea how it is over there.

  14. Alex’s lawyer was absolutely terrible. The least invested trial lawyer that ever stood in front of a courtroom. Gah.

  15. Didn’t he know they can ping his cell phone or any 🤔 But seriously I delete everything 😂 I’m known as Mrs. Delete, delete then delete again at work. My boss hates it 😝

  16. I had reasonable doubts at the outset that he may have not been the killer. What sold me beyond doubt in no particular order are:
    a) his deleted texts/phone calls
    b) sudden high activity around the time of the murders that differ greatly from the rest of the day (logged by steps count)
    c) his lies to police regarding his whereabouts, what time he was awake/took naps, or that he was not at the crime scene when he was
    d) his voice at the crime scene on Paul’s video minutes before he died
    e) his out-of-the-ordinary visit to Ms Simpson(?) telling her how long [she needs to say] he was there while flashing his ability to influence her and her brother’s endeavors
    f) gunshot residue found on him or items of clothing he was wearing

I didn’t make much of the fact that he had changed clothes because people do that and we don’t know his habits, but I believe those unusual items above happening coincidentally on the night of the murders, coupled with his lies and alibi attempts spell guilt. I’m just a guy on the internet, though, I’m no expert

  17. I grew up in NY. Unfortunately I know a lot of sketchie bums like AM…. they will steal your wallet and spend the day helping you look for it! Pos!!! 😮
