  1. I love the more elevated lounge wear because I always feel better when I’m out with the dog or running to the grocery store early in the morning. I try to find nice lounge wear from Chico’s and I look for the items that have a nice style twist to them. Like the cut on a jacket or pockets on the pants. 😊 Kay, I strolled into Talbots today and found the cutest lounge set from their Haven line and it was on sale. I need to get back there I saw so many cute outfits ‼️‼️💕😂🛍️

  2. I love your straight modern hair and your beautiful blue VB jacket….gorgeous. Great video..hate tunics but going to wear my camo pants maybe.

  3. I never did wear any of those things because I don’t like them so this is an easy choice. I have been saving a lot of money in not buying many new clothes over the past two years because I wasn’t feeling the love for most of the trends back then.!I do like all the alternatives you showed so next spring is going to be good. Here in Australia that won’t be until September but I am taking notes now.

  4. Am I the only one who has always hated skinny jeans? I love the wide leg jeans, cropped or ankle length. I feel with my size (18) it balances me out. I love your suggestions!

  5. Are these cropped ankle pants really in style? Although I have a cute figure, I'm short with thick legs, and always feel that they aren't flattering.

  6. Good morning! I'm happy the animal prints are staying on God's beautiful animals. They are my least favorite prints. I quit capris because I'm short and broad. That combo was awful on me. Loved this video Kay, you give very practical advise.

  7. Love your videos,Kay…imo though, all these new trends makes one look like a homeless person with all the high water pants/jeans and over sized tops and jackets…normalizing that lifestyle is not good…just saying…and definitely not a reflection of your sound fashion advice…thx for your flexibility and suggestions.

  8. Thank you for your videos, they are always on-point! I looove the trend of straight leg jeans not too wide at the leg opening (though I'll still keep the skinnies for the future). I buy the ones with 1% elastane, not coming back to stiff jeans ever… I also buy them one size larger (I think this looks more elegant). I take the time to adjust the waist though, so I'm not constantly pulling up my looser jeans, using a simple hand-sewn trick learned from my daughter: I cut two slits in the inside of the waistband to pass an elastic all around the inside of the band, leave it sewn-in on one side, and a little elastic tail on the other side for adjusting the waist as needed, girls knot this end, I choose to sew a button on the adjustable side and add some slits to the elastic band to adjust as needed the days I need more room… The elastic is concealed and does not bunch up the waist at all.
I'm not a fan at all of camouflage print, tunics or sweat pants, so I will not be missing them. I am loving the pants from Athleta that you feature in this and past videos. Will eventually consider buying.

  9. The styles change when the industry feels like they could make more money by changing the style and making you replace your whole closet for the new styles they created . It has nothing to do with what the population likes to wear .

  10. You look lovely and I appreciate what you are trying to do, but where I live in the Denver area, fashion trends are pretty much ignored by anyone over 30.

  11. Games like FarmVille is how Facebook was able to harvest our data prior to the 2016 presidential election, so I am very mistrustful of games such as June's Journey.

  12. I liked the video, but I really feel the “wear instead” outfits are giving off a more “mature” look. I’m not quite ready for that.

  13. You always give great tips! I love all your ideas and outfits (actually not digging the wider dress pants with the flats, it seems aging to me, but I get it’s just an option). I’ve been inspired to go through my closet and weed out. I’ve picked up on some of these trends already and appreciate your showing what to replace them with.

  14. These are great tips to help us all keep in style. The older I get the quicker time seems to go by and before you know it I notice I am still wearing things from 10 years ago that I feel like I just got last year! I do have a question though, what about tops that are made already tied at the waist? I have a few linen tops and a couple of lightweight spring sweaters that are made to be tied or are already tied and I hesitate to wear them because I don't want to look totally out of style in them.

  15. I'm sorry, but you should throw out some of these newer trends. Many of those new trend items actually create more of a dowdy and elderly look. I appreciate you bringing the trends, but I will not be adopting many of them. As you say, dress in a way that looks good on you, not necessarily the trends.

  16. I have a question:)
Is tunic length out, or just the tunic style? I noticed that all your examples were full around the hips. I’m looking at a rather pricey straight, linen tunic length top that I don’t want to invest in if it’s “out” of style.

  17. My memory went straight back to the seventies and eigbties when over-shirts were popular. Very informal look and comfortable as well. Your videos are so enjoyable.

  18. Not giving up my skinny jeans! Wide leg pants are not attractive in my opinion and not flattering. I’ll just be out of style!👍

  19. I must admit that I do lament some things as they go out of style. I loved my infinity scarves and invested in many.Easiest way to change basic dresses and tops. Therefore quite sad as they exited recently! I like the return of wider legs and variety of jeans, however. Your suggestions for what to wear “instead of” are great and very helpful!

  20. Joggers, in particular, seem to be a point of controversy. I've seen multiple recent videos showing how to wear them. This is the first time I've seen someone suggest they're suddenly "out."

  21. I wear animal print regardless of what the trends are. Not sorry. It's my "neutral." I wear metallic on occasion…probably going to wear them to a girl's night out next week.

  22. Apparently skinny jeans are coming back again. I think they've just joined the range of jeans styles that are available, rather than being 'out'. Certainly here in London loads of women of all ages are wearing them
