Impressive to see Laris filling the role Counselor Troi played aboard the Enterprise-D and -E on this scene.
Given her ability to read Picard's mind, including sensing that Picard used to have feelings with Beverly Crusher, Laris should've joined the Titan and be assigned as ship's Counselor 😉

Larris is awesome! She’s intelligent, wise, honest, and deserves happiness.
I so hope they emulate the dark knight rises … as in everyone thinks picard and the tng crew sacrifice themselves until picard's combadge go missing and Lariss turns up at the bar to see picard waiting for her …a throwback also the first season of tng where picards ex .. got left hangin at some parisian cafe

"I'll save you a seat" – what you say to a lover you're saying goodbye to in order to leave them with a smile. Laris knows that Picard still loves Beverly. She's setting him free. And after seeing the chemistry between Picard/Beverly, no denying that both Picard and Beverly still love each other. Whether it's been 20+ years or 20 minutes. Hoping for my Picard/Crusher happy ending.
