Liked the twist at the end and good thing season 2 is confirmed. I never watched the OG anime or anything and this has been my top interest, this episode was amazing. The action, the drama, the hope…. All done in amazing 3d CGI and I'm still amazed nobody has been able to do 3D anime this amount of justice. I want more, more and more.

That fight was amazing. I definitely think Vash is hiding as Eriks. This is the episode to hook in old and new fans. The series is a mix of old and new manga and new ideas. Also many thought Milly was not in the show but I guess she will be and sounds like she will be a similar fun personality with Meryl being her mature self. We also get his original haircut somehow after he comes out of transformation. I saw a clip of some characters looking at Vash’s scars which was treated as a shock and gag but here it had plot relevance for how he sacrifices himself for his morals. It’s also interesting to see how Vash is trying to find balance and peace for both sides but failing. It’s a mix of ideas and I do think this is superior story and the camera panning is great and the motion fluidity feels real which can make it feel not as nice. Also not sure if next season will mention it but I read somewhere how the organs from the Plant was closely connected to Vash and Knives. They are likely adapting concepts from the sequel manga maximum but honestly this series is like someone made a stew of different ideas. This is definitely a prequel with a clear vision and concept behind it. It’s like when someone makes their work and then years after contemplating know what they want and the audience wants

I’m glad I gave this version of Trigun a chance. It feels like this season was meant to give more context to the story we already knew. Though I think there are enough minor differences ti create a new story but with the same characters plus new-ish ones as well. I’m very curious to see what direction season 2 will go.
This show took innovations from the original trigun and made it stand as its own, and I'm so excited for the next season
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the 3D/CGI animation when I saw the trailer, but I gave the show a chance. I didn't regret it. Initially, I thought there wasn't going to be a second season because Legato Bluesummers was in one episode, and that was my one negative critique with this show. But now that I found out about a second season, I am hyped.
We got her! We got Milly! Glad this leaves room for season 2, and do look forward to the direction the plot will lead to. We got some call backs from the OG, but kind of wish Knives didn't have to go out like that. It's going to be interesting for the future, but of course we're going to have to wait.
It feels more like a prequel
I'm so excited to see where they're going to take it since in the original anime and manga, Vash hadn't met Meryl or Wolfwood til after the July incident so I wonder if that is going to have any significant changes to the overall storyline. Another thing is that Vash learned of Wolfwood's intentions almost immediately when he didn't know or acknowledge them until the end in both anime and manga so I'm super curious how they're going to take that whole story arc and if Wolfwood's fate will change because of it. Either way, it's going to be amazing and I can't wait to see it! Thanks again for all the awesome content!

I honestly loved Stanpede , and as a manga reader I'm really hyped for what they adapt from the manga.
This might become the best version of Trigun
Stampede basically ends at the same point as episode 16/18 of the OG anime with Vash having destroyed a town and trying to be a man named Eriks in another place with some differences. He notably blew a hole in one of the moons when he fired off his Angel Arm. I won’t spoil anymore, just encourage everyone to check it out if you haven’t already. It’s much sillier and leans more into the western side of the whole thing. It’s very good and you’ll learn why everyone was upset that there was no Milly in season 1. Looking forward to season 2 for sure.

I am curious how will they handle the arrival of the other Human Colony ships to the planet. The ending shows us that the other ships now got the distress signal from Project SEED that was sent out centuries ago and are now on their way to the planet. It will be interesting to see how will the humans that have been stranded on that plwnet for centuries and have forgotten most of their history will interact with the humans who have been living in space all this time and still maintain their knowledge about their history and advance techology.
This anime is one of the biggest CGI extravaganza i've ever seen in my life, the soundtrack, the reveals and the world are very unique. I was mindblowned after the final episode. Everything that was missing from the season was finally complete at the end. I used to hate CGI anime, but this one changed me.
Tbh, I went into the series not caring that Milly was not there. But when that ending scene came on and said she would be the newbie, I got chills. Everything is coming full circle
PERSONALLY as a big fan of the original myself (Check my Username lmao), I think it was all really good. Even though the final episode was a little over the top, things coming full circle TO the original made it reallllllly good. It's like they said "Let's take the OG story but with slight differences" but then decided to tell the prequel first. Waiting for the original AGL Arms .45 to come back now assuming his .22 was destroyed, and retelling of other OG characters now that some have been introduced early, AND now that more have already met each other early on in the story. This said, I also never read the manga myself but have def watched the OG series many times in the past so idk what was or wasn't more faithful to the manga. But now, Will Kni come back? Guess we'll find out lol
This show was great. It’s definitely in my top 3 for this year so far. The 3D was very well done. I was surprised.
As an anime only trigun stampede is an AMAZING stand alone show, not sure how good the original was but I loved the reimagining (of sorts, because apparently it's very different) trigun got!
