Seeing how much Euphy cared for Anis from start to finish really goes to show they are just the best couple, and, of course, Euphy and Anis finally kiss. Now ruling the kingdom side-by-side is just the beginning of their revolution and their journey together! Hoping we can get a Season 2 soon!

(Sorry, this is going to get lengthy, but it is season finale after all)
I debated hard the last several weeks when posting whether I would say the following line "If you're familiar with the circumstances of Myne's reincarnation in Ascendance of a Bookworm, then you'll understand what Anisphia's greatest fear is". I ultimately decided against it because I knew I was already toeing the line of spoiling things in my posts, and in my opinion that would have taken it too far. But I am really glad they showed that Anisphia's greatest fear is that when she reincarnated her soul overwrote the existing Anisphia, and if that is the case she's not truly the daughter of her parents and usurped the rightful place of the real Anisphia, because that fear is what has really been driving her guilt, as well as the decisions she has made in her life – including giving up her right to the throne initially. Yes, the gossip that she intentionally tried to kill Al was what caused her to relinquish her right, but that was more of a straw that broke the camel's back than being the main reason. And, at least in the three volumes that have been published in English to this point, Anisphia's fear has neither been confirmed nor denied.
If I had one minor complaint about this season, it was that they never really explained how magic works in this world and the reason why Anis can't use it. Yes, they stated that magic comes from spirits, but they left it at that superficial level – but it goes a whole lot deeper than that. In this world, everyone that has the ability to use magic naturally actually has a spirit bound to their soul, and that spirit burns magical energy to produce magic. To put it in practical terms, the spirit is an engine and the magical energy is the gasoline that fuels it. Because Anis originates from this world, she doesn't have a spirit bound to her soul, which means she'll never be able to use magic despite having tremendous amounts of magical energy. This is actually a fact that Anis for the most part learned in her magicology studies and really drove the paranoia of her fears – and her theories were confirmed by Lumi. In fact, Lumi even knows Anis is a reincarnation – something that is not unheard of in this world, and has a name for it: Traveler.
