Aw man, I'm sorry to hear you guys haven't been having the best week. I hope the next week is kinder for you, and thank you for still putting in the time and effort to make these videos for us! I really enjoy watching them.

how awfully convenient for her to find it in herself to love her daughter until she has literally nothing else left and won't have to deal with her for that long since she's gonna die anyway

As much as I love Kazuki and Rei, and knowing that they did so with the best of intentions…. What they did by taking Miri out for a fun day at the amusement park before handing her over back to her mother was just messed up, especially since they made her think that it was just a sleepover with her mom, instead of Miri (As far as they know) never seeing them again.

The poor little girl will now forever form the mental association of the happiest and most fun day of her life, with getting abandoned by her two papas. And oh! I dread to imagine the total mess the next morning that Miri’s mother will have to deal with, when she discover that she is in fact NOT going back to her papas… EVER. Expect lots of kicking, screaming, crying, etc, that might just push Miri’s mother right back into alcoholism, if not outright physical abuse out of a combination of guilt and frustration.

The entire situation is like… REALLY messed up. I heard a rumor that the scene of the ferris wheel was included as a metaphor, signally that this episode marks the 'high point' of wholesomeness and heartwarming cuteness for the series, with the last two episodes being a huge tonal shift in being much more depressing and violent…. Lets see if that rumor is going to be correct next week…

kids don't understand food at a young age…tastes changes as you grow… just give them what they ask to eat and eat what you want to eat

Honestly wish a good week for y'all, faith things will be better:) on a second note, Misaki sure takes trophy Bad Mom of the Year, gives me those "I don't care about this child but she better be on my aging days to take care of me because I was her mom…ish.

this is the most chaotic reaction video yet and it had iconic moments!
jokes aside, a lot of cases of kids with abusive parents have been gaining more notoriety in tv (in my country) and it's sad that A) the judges don't put a fraction of the effort that kazuki at least did at the beginning to go check in what type of family/house the child is going to be living in (when he realized the mother was not mother material and miri would be better of with them) and B) small children, don't even process how abusive their parents are. What happens at home is what one considers to be "normal" so they think that is the way other parents treat their kids, most times this type of parents are manipulative and make the kids believe that they do certain things as an act of love or care, and the kids continue to live with a smile on their faces because they think that's "the way mama/papa loves them" (like when Miri's progenitor- that's all she is- said she wanted to slap the kid whenever she laughed) and C) The so ARCHAIC notion that, in the case of a divorce lets say, they child must simply be with their mother, like there's no one better, no background check. I guess I'm writing out of rage and heartbreak after some of the most shocking news regarding child abuse that've seen lately where a family judge gave custody of a boy to the mother (just because she was the mother) and out of spite to her ex husband she committed UNSPEAKABLE acts upon that poor boy. Well, rant ended, I'm curious to see how this show may touch on darker topics regarding parenthood and taking in you guy's thoughts and reflections

I mean in terms of the mother. She at least was a decent mother to Miri. Even though she couldn't handle the mother life style she still fed her, clothed her, never laid a finger on her. Only offense was that she sent Miri alone to find and have her live with her father. Which honestly sending her away was a good call given her current state in life. Just went about it in a bad manner. I feel even though she hated being a mother cause she never wanted to be, she never truly hated Miri.

Misaki can ask to have/see Miri, but she can't demand it just because she birthed Miri. She gave away all rights to parent hood in episode 3, and she can't take it back, even if she is dying. Also, I feel like she doesnt care all too much about the dads being hitmen (she sent her 4 year old daughter to a HUMAN TRAFFFICKER), and was just throwing it out as a manipulation tactic.
Anyway, this episode emotionally destroyed me, and I'm both worried and excited for what the next one will bring.

((With the steak thing, my little brother used to chew his pieces of steak instead of eating them because he said every piece was fatty, gross and luckily he's stopped that haha))

sorry to hear you guys have had a rough week😥 I agree with y'all 100% this episode.. I HAVE BEEN TRYING SO HARD TO FORCE MYSELF TO FEEL SYMPATHY FOR MISAKI but she makes it sooo difficult.

I've had a friend who was abandoned by her father but when he was old and needed assistance but had nobody, suddenly he wanted to atone for his sins, this feels very similar: Only after Misaki lost everything, she comes in with a entitlement to her daughter's life after abandoning her for a year with two strangers after first attempting to use her to get money out of her human-trafficking father who pointed a gun at her head in the first ep!

I hated how after Rei points out what Miri wants matters too and Misaki immediately inadvertently threatens them by bringing up their jobs 😭I hate it… but it's logically better for Miri to be with Misaki temporarily while Rei and Kazuki work it out with the organisation.. It's logical but I HATE IT 😭😭😭😭

Kazuki's "It's still all about you, huh?" line towards Misaki summed up my feelings about this. It just sucks that despite everything, Kazuki and Rei will always be on the losing side when it's against Miri's mother. Sigh. Here's to hoping for a happier development in the next ones.
