  3. A small change from manga to anime is Arnheid's line, "I think you have a wonderful face," is, "I think your face is very handsome," in the manga. It's a small difference, but much more upfront, and I love it.

  6. It's kind of fitting how Einar talks in the last episode about how warriors are beasts with human skin and how in this episode they are literally being harmed by people who have animal names.

  7. If you want another emotional rollercoaster after you finish Vinland Saga, you should check out "Eighty Six(86)". It's an anime about orphans trapped in a war, and their handler's struggle to save them. It's a sad story with a happy ending you both will love.

  9. Slow pacing for farmland arc fit perfectly, every manga I knew that having farm arc are masterpiece.
    Einar and Snake are my favorite character in the season too.
    If you missed Fullmetal alchemist and any chance happens far far away in the future please react to Silver Spoon, the slice of life from the same author.

  11. Thus is a spoiler but Episode 7 Snake enslaved two children for theft and almost got them killed. The guys moral compass is everywhere.

  23. Thorfinn is not religious, he actually seems to have problems wrapping his head around the concept. Also, Snake looks exactly like Solid Snake from Metal Gear and I dont think that's an accident.

  42. If anyone here has seen The Wire, I've always thought that Olmar's character arc reminded me a lot of Ziggy (albeit with a more fortunate end)
