Hi mimo I heard about the earthquake and want to know do you have family in Lebanon if do are they okay because of the earthquake I don't know if it's in Lebanon I hope not but I know it's near Lebanon
Making Sugar (gum paste) flowers is my favorite part of cake decorating. Sometimes I make some just to do it. It’s my happy place😊
Hey mimo!!!! I'm a huge fan! Can I ask a question out of respect/curiosity? Since you make these videos regularly do you have to wear your hijab every time you make a video? Or do you just wear it when you know your face will be in the shot?
Knowing your creative strengths is the key to success, in business or in life.
i thought you were using real fresh flowers lol
Past mimo: I can make myself flowerss🎶
Present mimo: Id rather buy myself flowers 🎶
Oo I love those flowers they're so cute, and good job on the cake!
What about the people who actually make them I bet they do not get payed correctly for their labour !!
$20 per flower and they took you 3 hours??? Make that 50 lol at leasttttt
There edible? Dam now I'm hungry… I've had cake since the 4th cause my birthday… But dam
Spam is haram
Yes it is so tiring making flowers however I’m in luck as my sister loves making flowers for me and my cakes and has no issue with helping me or teaching me how to make them
Where do you buy them from?
Can you add the link to where you get your sugar flowers, please?
They are so beautiful 😍 🤩
They look great but are they edible? Btw I'm a huge fan!
I took a flower making class, after the time I spent in class and researching the cost of all the tools. I decided that it was not for me LOL. I still have the flowers from the class in a secure spot, because they were so beautiful and precious .
I love your Peony White Flowers, they look so beautiful on your Gold Cake, Putting the flowers on your Cake adds a great touch, You are so talented Mimo. 😃
Please help 🙏 me
I make my own cards & have so many different flowers die casts, some where the flower os one die & others where it's petals & I'm sure Amazon lists them for card making, scrap booking & cake decorations… I have the hand machines the big one & a mini but electric are available. I'd probably chill them in the dies to firm up the foundant before removal. But pretty sure it would work…
Me too. Some people have that talent. Not me.
It's so much cheaper and time saving!! It looks like you buy yours where I buy mine, they're packaged the same way!! People don't want to pay what they're work and it does take forever!
I love your videos Mimo! I love your work and honesty! Please pin 📍
Wow, those look nice
Couldn’t you make a food safe mold and use something like fondant or modeling chocolate too? That might be cheaper 😊 and I get it! One time I sculpted a basic tulip (a 2D one by the way) with caramel and it took an hour… not worth it LOL
Thanks for your forthrightness. And now I know how not to struggle. Yah.
😱 where can I buy them
I like making gum paste flowers, but if you don't it seems like they take forever! The key is to do them assembly style; nowadays the trend is for really big flowers/arrangements, but when I learned 20+ years ago they were comparatively small and dried faster.
pretty cake 🎂 🌺🌺🧁 🧁
Same though 😂 I needed to make chips but it didn’t work with my time frame so I bought the chips and made the salsa, saved myself time and stress. Win-win
Thank you sister ,your making me feel less bad now about not making a cake from scratch ,as your right sometimes they turn out dry and box cakes are more moist ,and I love decorating cakes like you do and now il do it guilt free Alhamdulillaah without the stress of getting the taste right ,I can enjoy decorating instead ,yay
I sell those at my mother in laws cake supply store and I just hate when there’s been times when the whole box comes broken like wth they are expensive too
Except all of that toxic non biodegradable packaging
Smart !!!!!
That was my question too so thank you for answering. That cake is literally stunning
Thanks to this now I know these exist!!!
Is there anything you do yourself…
Box mix cake Not your own flowers Covers all cakes in fondant
Where do you them from? I don’t like to make them either. I’d rather buy flowers than stress about making them!
Thanks for the story behind the flowers! I was texting with a friend about that cake and I’m sure it was fun for her to understand what a time-consuming process it is, and how a real professional saves time by letting the flower-professionals do the time-consuming, tedious part of that golden cake!
They are cheaper, but the environmental cost of shipment isn't that a lot 🤔
Of course you don't make your own flowers, you literally don't make your own ANYTHING. Boxed cakes, with pre-made decorations, the only thing you actually make is fondant and icing. Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if you used prepackaged icing too 😂
