  2. lowkey i dont think akane would've been a better Ai.. I mean ruby /apart from looks) is basically experiencing a very similar situation to her mom. akane may act well as Ai but ruby will literally pour her soul into an emotional display of the mere reality. that's a huge difference since akane herself said "just acting good isn't enough" also im quite sure akane has a partially false perspective on Ai.. she keeps acting like the goofy Ai that she could study because thats what general public saw. ruby on the other hand FELT empathy, with her mom, realizing she was also just a weak girl deep within, making her more authentic

  8. Ruby looks a lot of Ai so it makes more sense her daughter would play her anyways. Ruby naturally has the assertive quality and charisma that Ai has as an idol and has been showing that in contrast to her group members throughout the series. Akane has the understanding of Ai down but not the same star aura quality.

  32. Akane who never met ai personally knows ai better than her daughter with whom ai spend her personal time teaching her dance and giving life advices, encouragement etc? If only author can be a little more realistic while writing akane about ai's case all these researches, intelligence and method acting wouldn't have enough to excuse "she knows ai better" or make her feel entitled you never met someone in real life and already believe I know her emotionally better, I can empathize with her? Just by reading her outer mask? Well I always thought author is extremely biased towards akane and want to pushed her into main plot always bagged all the main arcs leaving nothing for twins to grow. Psychologically I don't believe how her character is depicted from any angle makes sense good she's out of this role.
