This may not be my favorite anime but Doux is rapidly becoming my favorite character ever.

You do feel sorry for Jahi, she has put herself on a treadmill and is afraid of falling off. But she works for and with good people who would help her if she would just let them. Add to that she has been given the impossible task of making Doux into a proper demon. I think Ahriman understands Jahi will probably fail but doesn't blame her at all.
