Haven't watched yet, but I have to say, this episode actually really did NOT do it for me. It was cheesy, unnecessarily over the top, and yet again they didn't have the big moment happen. The snowboarding-esque fight scene made me cringe. Same with the "eh?" "huh?" thing between Meryl and Millie, like why tf did they do that 6 times.
I really enjoyed the Legato fight/Livio and Wolfwood fighting side by side… That said, I was tiny bit disappointed that Legato was still alive, and I'm quite disappointed that we didn't get a backstory this ep. The new Knives design is also really not doing it for me. Regardless, I'm super excited for the finale. I'm definitely not gonna be engaging with the fandom next episode though, since I saw a LOT of people threatening the animators and studio with actual violence.
Feel like this is one of those episodes that’ll either be a lot worse or a lot better once we see Episode 11.
Hoping that Legato seeing Knives save him transitions into his backstory as an allusion to Knives being a “savior” figure in Legato’s eyes. (Even moreso creating this disillusion that Knives is a positive force and Vash, now having attempted murder, is doubly seen as anti-saviorite).
It looks like Knives is now made up of…millions of knives.
Now I am certain that the title "Trigun" in this version means the trio of Vash, Wolfwood and Livio. No, I don't like that a LOT because I adore the original idea… But it's alright.
