  1. We need an original anime ending because I don’t think we all this that after what happened in the manga needs to be animated…

Give us a new ending PLEASE!!!!

  2. It's honestly very creepy that everyone who white knights for this anime ahem i meant to say "Incest". I honestly wouldn't be surprised that everyone who does is on a watchlist and or THE "Registry" because it's honestly very disgusting and you don't even need to be religious to know how extremely bad it is. I hope this Incest masquerading as an anime is cancelled.

  3. You know, I speculate that the reason why the manga ending sucks is because the manga author had no idea how to properly end the story, since the topic is so heavy and nuanced, and basically fumbled the ball.

Here's why I think so. If I remember correctly, the author in the past stated something like he started getting bored of this series and wanted to wrap it up and move on to another series. But why? At this point in the manga, AI had delivered her message to Kamiki through the movie and the twins. Maybe Aka was racking his mind for how Kamiki should respond to Ai, realized he wouldn't be able to find the proper ending, then gave up and lost interest. I mean would you have been able to find a suitable reply? It would have to account for Ai's heavy feelings and life, the reality of the entertainment industry, Kamiki's past suffering, the unique bond between Kamiki and Ai, etc. all of these things are such heavy and nuanced topics that some random ending from off the top of your head wouldn't cut it.

There are plenty of main character deaths in anime in general, but most of the reactions to those are sadness that the character died. But here, the main reaction is indignation towards the ending. Why is that? I think it's because there's no resolution. The ending does not live up enough to be a response to Ai's feelings, so the reader searches for a response, a resolution to the premise that has been bugging the series since the beginning, a purpose for why Aqua absolutely had to die, then comes up empty. Since the ending is set in stone, the reader gives up on finding a resolution and loses interest in the series, just like the author. The author's emotions at the time of writing this are bleeding through the pages to the reader.

When the author gave up on finding a proper resolution, he tried to close the series safely. Aqua died from falling off a cliff and drowning, which is basically what Yoshizumi said about how nature deaths are the safest endings that wouldn't anger any sponsors. Kamiki's response was basically a rejection of Ai's feelings, which may mirror how the author rejected the task of finding the proper response. He still included a main character death possibly to secure income and prevent the story from becoming boring/generic. After all, series with main character deaths are probably remembered for longer than those without.

This is all just my speculation though. But if this does turn out to be true, then I hope the anime can find a better ending that lives up to this series better.

  4. Ewww… he's Your Brother Now Not your long lost crush anymore so don't you ever have any weird feelings thingy😰😰😰😰🤢…..

  5. All the incest aside, this is a really nice and touching moment for both of them, I know people hate this part of the manga and I see it, incest is never really good no matter what the situation but this moment here shows two lifelong friends til death reunite again in a new life, I'm not saying this to defend the incest (though it sounds like I am) I'm saying it so people who loved it before the incest like me can look past the bad stuff and look at the bright side (I mean it happened with SAO and that had r*pists which is so much worse)
