17:10 “How hot is it (the hot springs)?” The temperature depends on the hot springs resort location. The hotter ones you have to slowly get adjusted to before soaking fully in. And even after you get in, for safety, you should soak for only about 15 minutes or so. The real hot springs lovers will go in, get out and cool down, and go in again several times.
The stereotypical Kyoto field trip is real. Going there outside of the peak tourism seasons and you’ll encounter multiple groups of students doing theirs.
I really like Suzuki with her hair down at the end of this episode. She looks like a gyaru version of Bocchi from Bocchi the Rock.
This episode also sums up Azuma’s problem nicely: she’s too much of a doormat.
