Gilgamesh quickly adapting to Alcides and their fight being described as "a titanic clash of gods" as Alcides becomes so desperate he starts using all his NPs together, eventually having to be saved by Ishtar's intervention should totally have been animated.
Hell, even our boy John got cucked by those excessive cuts, he actually made Alcides catch hands too.

The writer always sacrifices Gilgamesh for trivial reasons. Is it because he is very strong and no one can defeat him? And the writer does not want us to see his strength. As a Fate fan who was first introduced to the series through the VN well over a decade ago, yeah this is to be expected.

I mean, it's Gilgamesh! Even when he is the strongest being around, ESPECIALLY when he is the strongest being around, his ego will cause him to find SOME way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
