  1. The antags were def the highlight of this episode for me. I really wonder what they're gonna do with Tesla and her storyline this season. The fact that they added the meat grinder truck gives me at least a little hope regarding how they portray him in future episodes.

  2. I completely agree that Midvalley is a lot younger. At first it’s just the face that takes some getting used to but after eps 4&5 I see this is how his vibes seem different
Also yes, the orphanage was brought up awkwardly (maybe it's the manga biasing me but I think S2 dialogues run less smoothly than S1 overall, although it's not enough for me to be annoyed by it. I do like that they take time to depict relatively mundane life details though)

  3. Mr. Sax and Violence looks good in pinstripes!

I love that they included the truck scene, but I think it is worse in the manga, where Legato forces the soldiers to climb into the truck under their own power instead of flying them around and stuffing them into it. It's just more gruesome.

I heard there were changes in the creative team between seasons, maybe the new people didn't actually see Stampede or they didn't realize just how much stuff they would have to get through with this season when they put Lina in the end of the final Stampede episode.

The guy in the concept art. Look closer. He has a Cross Punisher…with THREE guns in it. One in the stem, one in each side of the crossbeam. It can only be one person. And I'm thinking you might feel the same way I do about that, assuming they stuck with it for the final product.

  4. The problem with doing a faithful adaptation of thrimax is that it’s so huge they probably won’t get the money to make a series long enough. Animation is expensive. I prefer the original anime to stampede and stargaze but I’ve always been good at taking a step back and liking things for being their own thing so I liked stampede anyway.

They did the crimson nail dirty. She’s supposed to be this really hot trans woman, not a child. I’m trans, where’s the representation (actually don’t care too much about that just that they changed someone that was already so much) sure it a product of its time but Meryl’s reaction still makes me laugh

  5. hoping praying and begging that we get a loyal trimax adaptation some day that’s as gritty and gross and strange as it deserves amen

  6. IM SO EXCITED THAT YOU BROUGHT UP THE TESLA KNIVES THING. This has been BUGGING me since I watched the episode. I also do not believe that it isn't Tesla's memories… I think it has something to do with all of the grafting that Conrad is doing to him that's causing his memories to go haywire.

  7. So far I really like Stargaze Midvalley! It makes me more frustrated with the earlier decision to let Hophard die >:[ It would be sooo interesting to see those versions of them interact. Not to mention fight scenes. Thought I feel like camera work and fight scenes in Stargaze so far are a lot more static, more like typical 2d anime (which isn't bad, but it would be fun if they would make more use of 3d surroundings)

Also! If you feel like your gore-humor-animation shaped hole is not filled by Orange's Trigun, boy do I have a recommendation for you! Kekkai Sensen (Blood Blokade Battlefront), which is also Nightow's work, has and excellent anime adaptation! Great animation, light atmosphere, full of alien and supernatural stuff! The first season has some anime original, but it actually worked really nicely and didn't feel off. (Anime adaptation is made by Bones, the same people who made Fullmetal Alchemist and Mob Psycho 100)
Also also I feel like it's a neat spiritual successor of Trigun! Much more found family, community oriented, with a lot of hope and standing firm to face the light c:
I really hope Trigaze won't be that bad, the last thing I'd like to see is it killing the heart of what Trigun is about :/ But! I stay silly and positive!! c:
