I love narita and the LN is my favorite thing in the world but the way we jump back and forward between chapters is difficult and borderline impossible for an adaptation. Which is why i think they are rearranging – lets be honest, richards name reveal flows better in this placement. Tomorrow theyll go over to sigma and tsubaki, which will ease the averages viewer consumption of characters and information

I watched some of your previous videos and thats when i finally decided to get into fate.
Even before i ever got into Narita's work i had fate on the back burner but given that ive gotten into Baccano! and Durarara!!,i decided to get into stuff that he has done spinoffs for like which of course means fate strange fake.
Currently im enjoying fate stay night ubw and getting into the other fate installments because that series seems interesting and ofc ufodable has done some stellar work.

I think they're cooking. I'm hoping that season 2 will just be volumes 6-8 (there's just so much peak going on to fit volume 9 as well in 12-14 episodes imo, but we'll see).
The full anime is just 13 with counting the ova so just 12
So 5 volumes in 12
Mind you apocrypha was 5 volumes adapted in like 20+

I'm not worried about the pacing. They cut out some content yes, but for the most part they won't hurt the story too much. Plus, as you mentioned, they have already rearranged scenes for pacing. For instance, I think we won't get the Dumas-Nodier scene at all, but I'm fairly convinced we will get very important one at the restaurant. That, would be a good spot to reveal his name as well, especially with what follows in the story itself ((if they keep the Zugzwang but not some important flashbacks though, I will be upset)
About Richard's name reveal… Wait, it wasn't like that in the novel? Did they… pick the scene from volume 6 and slap it in the concert room?
Is the light novel completed? Because it'd be a massive shame if the adaptation had to stop because the LN isn't complete
Just watched the episode 5, they butchered tsubaki and sigma's buildup
I think 3 vol per season is best for pacing
i am so happy with adaption so far
my hope is by the time S2 enters pre production or early production volume 10 drops and they know if thats another OVA or its own mini season
My main disappointment was cutting out a lot of the suspense building during Reeves vs. jester. It felt like Jester was just blurting everything out as fast as possible.
a good thing its probably going to only go to vol 5 cuz if they kept going they might finish the anime before the LN
At this rate people will forget about this anime.
It used to be better when they had the whole season ready in advance and there was a new episode every week.
These days you have to wait 2 to 5 years for a new season, which is crazy.
