Earlier Tuesday, the ruling coalition parties condemned the photo of a slanted eye posted by an island lawmaker. After a meeting of the party’s leaders, Kopra said the issue would be left to the island’s discretion . I’ve flown Finnair , and I definitely felt a sense of discrimination and discomfort against blondes. They spit drinks on Asian passengers, and when they got off, they greeted each white passenger individually, but walked over and ignored Asian passengers. This is a screenshot of a comment in the comments. But this one is 20 hours old , so it’s hard to say if it’s true or not. It’s already causing a stir. So, I did a little research, and this Finnair thing is amazing. First, here it is. This is a post from this month. Ever since I was discriminated against by a male flight attendant at Finnair, this image of Finland has been like this , and somehow it makes sense. This account has now been deleted, but judging from the text, I think a photo of Miss Finna with slanted eyes was probably uploaded. This person is claiming that a male flight attendant at Finnair discriminated against them. And judging from the way it’s written, it seems like it’s true . And then there’s this one. This is a post from July 2024. I was once harassed by a Finnair flight attendant. When I ordered blueberry juice, she repeatedly told me to ask for blueberry, just like she’d ordered a small one. I was n’t sure about my pronunciation, so I couldn’t immediately respond. I should have at least called her racist, so here she is again, mentioning the flight attendant’s racism . This is from last year. And this is a literal review of Finland. It was posted in 2021. And, you know, I flew in 2020, and the flight attendants were the worst. Worst airline. I completely agree with other reviews that say the flight attendants were especially awful. So, everyone’s writing this. I think it’s horrible racism. C, a tall, blonde Finnish woman. She’s very beautiful, but her heart is twisted. I experienced so much discrimination that the Western passengers around me stared at me . I’ll never fly with them again. So, I’m really angry about this person. I’ll never fly with them again, and there’s more to come. This post is in English. Racist customer service . And terrible management. The customer service was horrible, the staff were racist, the flight was repeatedly delayed, and I ended up spending 12 hours at the airport without even knowing the details of my next flight . So, in the context of this racism, I guess I was pretty badly treated. It seems like there’s more to come. This post is from June of this year. In June, I flew Finnair from Centrair to Paris via Helsinki and experienced blatant anti-Asian discrimination from airline staff and a female flight attendant . The airport check-in was quick, but by the end, I was audibly hurried. That was still okay, but then one flight attendant, who I assumed was another Finnish passenger, walked by and, in a deliberately nasal, arrogant tone, began explaining the exits in English, which was blatantly unpleasant. And, as you can see here, there have been other complaints about the flight attendant’s racism toward Asians and poor kanji, so it seems I’m not alone. And, here’s a review from 2018. Here’s my seat in business class. A young white man was sitting there. I told the white female flight attendant that this was my seat, but she told me to sit wherever I wanted because it was unreserved seating. Just to be clear , I’m not saying I can’t understand this level of English . This exchange continued multiple times. A flight attendant, who I assumed was a cabin attendant manager and had witnessed the exchange, finally moved the person occupying my seat. Unfortunately, I cannot help but suspect that the flight attendant, who commandingly told me to sit wherever I wanted because it was unreserved seating, is a racist . It’s only a test, but I can’t think of any other reason . Operating with unreserved seating is unthinkable. This type of promotion should be refrained from now. It would be much more beneficial to officially issue an evacuation notice to the home country and broadcast it to Japan . So, could you please explain why this was added ? This is a state-owned company, isn’t it? And by state, I mean , the Finnish government is a major shareholder. Since this issue arose, have you protested against such foolish behavior by Finnish politicians? If so, can you tell me where it says so?
