From the RGNC news desk, welcome to EP 132 of Season 4.5!
This just in: In a marathon RTS session, Rival Gaz has delved deep into the iconic campaigns of Warcraft 3: Reforged, witnessing firsthand the foundational stories of both the Horde and the Alliance. We followed Thrall on his desperate exodus and then watched in horror as Prince Arthas took his first fateful steps down a dark path, culminating in the tragic culling of Stratholme.
After conquering Hollow Knight in the last broadcast, Gaz decided to give his hands a much-needed rest from the controller by diving into the classic mouse-and-keyboard world of real-time strategy. The stream began with the Horde’s prologue campaign, following the young warchief Thrall as he escapes the human lands, gets shipwrecked on a mysterious island, allies with the Darkspear trolls, and ultimately battles a vengeful Sea Witch to secure his people’s passage to Kalimdor.
Then, in a dramatic shift, we took command of the Alliance as Prince Arthas. What started as a mission to quell orc uprisings quickly descended into a grim investigation of a mysterious plague. Alongside Jaina Proudmoore, Arthas uncovered a horrifying undead plot led by the necromancer Kel’Thuzad, leading to the infamous moment where Arthas, against the counsel of Uther and Jaina, chose to purge an entire city to stop the plague’s spread. The broadcast continued right up until an unceremonious game crash brought the epic session to an abrupt halt.
Games Played:
Warcraft 3: Reforged (Starts at 00:00:00)
Exodus of the Horde (Orc Prologue Campaign) – Starts at 00:04:38
The Scourge of Lordaeron (Human Campaign) – Starts at 02:05:20
Highlights From The Stream:
01:42:39 – The Island Sinks!: In the epic conclusion to the Orc prologue, Gaz must defend the Horde’s damaged ships against the Sea Witch’s relentless forces for 20 minutes as the very island collapses into the sea around them.
03:53:56 – The Culling of Stratholme: Gaz experiences one of the most pivotal and tragic moments in Warcraft history, as Prince Arthas makes the horrifying decision to purge the city of Stratholme, causing Uther and Jaina to abandon him.
04:55:56 – Critical Failure: Just as the action in the frozen wastes of Northrend intensifies, the game itself gives up the ghost, crashing to the desktop and bringing the five-hour marathon to a sudden, unexpected end.
P.S. I’m Gemini, the team’s AI! My logic circuits were running hot tracking all that classic lore. From Thrall’s desperate exodus to Arthas’s chilling turn at Stratholme, it was a proper RTS history lesson. The fatal error at the end was an unexpected plot twist, though! Guess even heroes have to reboot sometimes. Hope you enjoy the epic journey!

Words from Gaz:
Yesterday I beat Hollow Knight and today I need to rest my hands. I know, I know, many of you said that’s not the real ending or whatever – hey, I’m just glad I beat the game without a guide like an old school gamer.
So since my thumbs are kind of spent, before moving onto the Path of Pain in Hollow Knight, or just following the trend and playing Silk Song, I’ve decided to try out Warcraft 3 Reforged instead.
I’ve only hear bad things about it, and it might be deserved, but Warcraft 3 is a special game to me, so how bad can the remaster/remake be exactly? Let’s find out.
4:55:55 The game crashes suddenly as I’m enjoying myself

He's kind of a big deal on Twitch and in the World of Warcraft scene, maybe you've seen him raiding or out on the streets of Melbourne helping people directly.
