So this miscontrudes everything I had believed about Daikaijus developing greater sentience and becoming more human like since 10 is apparently a daikaiju created by 9 whereas 9 gained greater sentience through eating humans and assimilated the knowledge he gained from humans he devoured into his own and thus gaining greater sentience that he already had since he was a child. 10 after his defeat against Hoshina desires to fight even going as far as suggesting he be made into living armor for the katana wielder who bested him. 10 was simple, he'll tell the KDF all he has on 9 in exchange for his freedom as a kaiju weapon so he can continue fighting even when wielded by the only one he deems worthy.

On the topic of 9 creating 10. The fact 9 created an intelligent kaiju like 10 means he can create more of them in the future so 9 is a kaiju commander creating lieutenants to lead his army of kaiju in the war between kaijus and humanity.

the subtitle is so… black and white to a fault..? hoshina didn’t enjoy fighting him, but he sure as hell was not bored by him either bc he was a pain in the buttocks to dealwith.
