Reacting to MORE of your Fairy Tail Hot Takes🔥

It’s been a little while, ladies and gents, but I am finally back to address even more of your hottest fairy tale takes. The first video was extremely fun to make and got some pretty good conversation going in the comments. So, let’s see if we can keep those good convos going and hopefully not have these takes and my reactions to them divide this space into utter chaos. Starting off with some adequate heat, the first take comes from at Mr. extremes and they say that Alvarez is a good arc. Alvarez has just from some slight observation always been a pretty controversial arc ever since its inception and conclusion for the fairy tale fandom. Those who don’t like it are usually upset by the supposed inconsistent writing and or the anime’s rather lackluster portrayal of its contents. Personally though, I tend to find myself somewhere in the middle of the conversation when it comes to this subject. I don’t really hold any contempt for it from a writing perspective because for the most part, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. However, since my main consumption of the ark was through the anime, I just simply can’t bring myself to say that from a visual standpoint, it is a quote unquote good arc. But I will say overall it’s at the very least serviceable. A solid 6 out of 10, maybe even seven if I’m feeling like an Acolo Loia fanboy that day. So 7 out of 10. Anyway, up next we have a take from at Wardened 2 and they say that Gildarts is still the strongest wizard. If we are talking currently alive and excluding the dragon gods, then I absolutely agree. I know recently in the Doggermog arc, it was noted by Loxis that a wizard from Diablo named Kieran was comparable to Gildarts in his eyes. However, based off of his performance during their bout, I have to say that that was probably just pure propaganda. I firmly believe that Gildarts is not only still the strongest wizard in Fairy Tale, but he also, if ever reintroduced into the story, will decimate basically anyone that isn’t one of those previously mentioned dragon gods. Although, if he were to tussle with one of them, it would most certainly be a battle for the ages. Up next, though, we have a hot take from Midnight Fox 89 over on Twitter. They threw their hat into the ring and said, “The only thing that I can think of is that fairy tale fights need to be longer.” I never feel like the characters are actually struggling to beat a tough opponent. And likewise, they get out against tough opponents, but then the opponents, say, for example, Irene, she’s called the Scarlet Despair. But we never see how exactly she earned that name. What about her is so intimidating and scary to earn that moniker? Also, currently the dragon gods, they don’t really feel all that strong, deadly, or dangerous. As I said before, a bit of a long one here, but basically this person is saying that the fights in Fairy Tale need to be longer and that some powerhouses in the series don’t really feel like they are well that. In response to the first part, I 100% agree. It wasn’t really a problem for me with the original fairy tale series. However, one of my longest standing criticisms of the sequel manga has been that the fights have consistently been way too short. And it’s not like said fights are against some weak underlings or jobbers. No. Time and time again, opponents who actually have some standings in the story get defeated so quickly that they barely leave an impact, if any at all. And this point kind of leads into the second part of Midnight Fox’s take. When you have the opposition get taken out in such a manner, it makes the readers take that opposition a whole hell of a lot less serious. So yeah, for the most part, I agree with a lot of this take and I hope that Mashima takes steps in the future to correct these ailments. Moving right along, the next take is from at Kurukaama. I think that’s how you say it, who says Vieres is the lamest villain in the entire manga. Now, I don’t know about the entire manga because I’m sure you could make a case for others, but I cannot argue that he isn’t at least in the top five for that category. Because for a dragon god that had so much mystery built up around them, it certainly came as a surprise to me and I’m sure many others that when he was eventually revealed, his character was uber generic and wholly uninteresting. And that’s without including the fact that the fight against him in his dragon form barely lasted like two chapters. Although to rail on him in this manner isn’t entirely fair. At least not anymore considering that he came back and fought against Gray in a pretty sick battle. His character was still a nothing burger in my opinion, but at least he was boring and cool for a moment instead of just the former. Anyways, this next hot take is actually one if I had read about a year ago, I’d be in total agreement with. However, with the story being where it is currently, I’m a bit apprehensive. But it’s from at Solif. Yep. 5796. And they say Ignil bullies the dragon gods in his prime. He has overall the best combat we have seen from any dragon. I held this belief for the majority of 100 years quest. But after a lot of contemplation, I had to walk away from that line of thinking. Ignil definitely does not bully every single dragon god. But he still stomps regardless and I will not hear otherwise. Moving on to hot take number six, I think. I don’t know. Oh, it’s from Atmasadrome 1650 again, I think. And this person says, “Natsu and Zerif’s final fight was horrible.” And I’m not even talking about the animation. Zerif versus End was hyped for the longest just for Hero to do nothing with it. With all the hacks and abilities Zerif had, he resorted to being a brawler. Zerif gained absolute power and did next to nothing with it. His whole conclusion felt so sped up. Unlike the last one, this one I am in complete and total harmony with Hiro Mashima I do kind of believe dropped the ball here with Zarif’s quote unquote ultimate form. Not only due to the fact that because he had gained that power which then allowed him to achieve his greatest desire and he just gave up on that to fight his brother again. But also like must points out here, having the final battle between Zerif and Natu take place with the main protagonists staying in base the entire time is just strange. No dragon force, no END, no lightning flame dragon mode. And before anybody inevitably goes into the comments and says that, oh, the scene just wouldn’t allow for something like that, I say just write the scene differently then. But all that aside, for the final hottake of the video, here’s man’s hyphen NQ1HK, who says, “Ignia is a better villain than Agnologia.” Ignia, in my opinion, is a very middle of the road fairy tale villain. He has some incredible aura moments, but so far, what has he really done in the story? What truly longlasting impact has he had on the cast? What emotion, other than some hype does he bring out of you when he’s on the page or screen? I’m probably going to dedicate some time to making a fulllength video on what I’d like to see from this villain, but as of right now, at the time that I’m making this, it’s a hell no from me. With all that said, that’s going to do it for me. So, I hope that you all enjoyed. If you did, make sure to like, comment, and subscribe with the notifications on. And I will see you all in the next one. Peace out, everybody.

I am back ladies and fellasmen to discuss more FAIRY TAIL!! I’m here once again to discuss some of your hottest takes about the series, and decide if they have any merit to them. Or if they’re just complete rubbish (this one might be 50/50 who knows lol.) But thank you all for watching this video, and more uploads will be on the way!

  1. To be honest.. my main thing is the sped up fights. It wouldn’t hurt to drag them out a lil bit. That God Serena shit pissed me off 🤦🏽‍♂️

  2. What I hate the most in FT is that most of fights especially in the final season were off screen like acnologia vs the saint wizards
I know acnologia is op but it doesn't mean you make it off screen lol
The five kage in Naruto were not match For Madara but the fight was long and it took much time to conclude
51 episodes of the final season was criminal
Putting 3 major arcs in 51 episodes is stupid

  3. Mashima wanted the arc to reach more than 200 chapters, but according to the magazine's rules, the maximum limit is 109 chapters for an arc, and despite that, he exceeded it. However, one of the most ridiculous rules in the magazine is that we don't see the villains' perspective, we only see the heroes' perspective or what benefits them, and this is a very bad thing to the point that Mashima decided to make an addition to the anime, adding Acnologia's past and even some of the characters. One of the worst things in the arc is skipping the August fight to Oration-Siss and Jellal, and also skipping the Mirajane and Jacob fights and others, and shortening most of the basic fights as a show for the heroes after training. However, I wish Mashima would continue with 200 chapters, but the magazine and its bad rules, if it was in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine like One Piece and Naruto, it would be better. As for the Golden Dragon, this victory is very, very collective, almost like Acnologia + What do you expect for the final chapter of the Dragon King Festival arc? Will it be the last arc for the mission? I think 260 is excellent.

  4. Natsu don't use END power because he don't want it. Natsu say " I'm a human" to Igneel in dream scene. He want to fight Zeref as a human. He also do opposite thing what Zeref want. I mean, Zeref keep calling Natsu END during the fight. The anime is not good. They ruined a lot of great moments.

100yq action is really fast because it's biweekly manga. We talking about how long (time) Hiro will do the stories not how many chapters he will do. 100yq is 188 chapters right now. If 100yq have OG manga pacing(weekly), recent arc is around 300+ chapters. The same with Dead Rock.

Acno is still mystery in manga version ( not backstories). They add his backstories for the anime. I prefer the he be mystery.

  5. – I will forever hold Alvarez as the worst arc in the series

    – Gildarts is always the one being used as a measuring stick.

    – Last chapter really highlights this issue

    – Yea Viernes is a low bar. Still think the Edolas crew or Raven Tail are worse but even among the Dragon God's he just sucks.

    – Highly disagree. Ignia has done jack to earn any combat praise. Most welcome got was him vs Selene and that fight was pretty lame. Igneel vs Acnologia was somehow more impressive

    – Yes. Zeref just looked pathetic in the fight. The Spriggans, the underlings were all more impressive than any Zeref showed.

    – Honestly just from the fact Ignia has an actual goal, yea I'd say he's better. Acnologia ended up such a nothing of a character with no direction. Honestly feels that Mashima didn't know what to do with him.

  6. In FT100YQ right now it feels like we have fights just for the sake of shonen, so many side fighter appeared and we don’t really actually care about these fights, at this point I just want to see the main heavy hitters, and I got disappointed with how the Oracion Seis vs Sech was handled; if we were gonna bring them, why not have them all winning against these lame ahh cheap copies of the Zeref demons with no stories to them yet because they were just born (honestly, what’s up with that even; is earthland Faris a fan of Zeref for her to be trying to be so similar?)? They usurped the Oracion name and they can’t even get it back by themselves… I guess Cobra and Racer are the cooler guys of the team so we have to give them a win but I was also having hope for Merudy and Midnight (joke aside Midnight/Macbeth better be getting back up tho, I don’t want him getting carried by Gajeel after he said Brain was his to fight è_é'). Juvia gets some weird powerup(?) because I don’t know how morphing into a mermaid helps, I’d guess she can give herself any form she want since her body is water, but okay, it’s shouldn’t change the way her magic works tho. I just disliked that the Seis couldn’t handle it on their own, I swear to you if you are part of the Fairy Tail guild, you are probably only beatable by someone from the same guild that’s just stronger than you. Whyyy bring the Oracion if they are gonna get rolled by the new Oracions wannabe, I don’t understand. I’m waiting for some Jellal and Laxus action tho.

Still not over the fact Edens Zero ended the way it did, it also felt like a rush. But the only Mashima work I can still say I can enjoy is Dead Rock (spoilers down).

End of chapter 25 gave me a little "berserk" vibe as if Frey will have this vengeful arc, at least for a moment. I’m pretty sure Yakuto will end up resurrected someday (as per Mashima’s reputation), but I just wanna imagine that Frey will act as a main character for a moment to carry Yakuto’s will. If they rez Yakuto tho, I hope they rez Hien also, he was a good boy, he was completing the group vibe also, can’t really tell why. If Yakuto doesn’t get rez, I’d be the first to be surprised tho but why not, anyways I don’t think this was ever mean to be a very long story, since it’s monthly in the first place, so taking some freedom to do different is fine.
