  1. You'll see that private industry will soon be 'essential' and used to prop health services, at which point the 'switch' will occur and suddenly funding will be found.

Only at the point though where it's set up for large profits to be made from the tax payer.

  2. Only willing to pay for 10 or 20 scans? Your freaking millionaire give up some more money $$$. It's a nice gesture to offer to pay for 10 or 20 but come on you can do better than that Rod.

  3. That is the best most worthwhile charity giving. Trace people who need scans and pay direct for each one. Giving to big charities is just giving the top people a wage rise.

  4. Neither he nor his family use the NHS. The interviewer asked him a form of this question 3 times. Clean your ears out, lady! Anyway, all it will take is much higher taxes – what don't you understand??

  5. Sky is constantly running stories about how it is in crisis. Accurate journalism simply reporting on the facts or will the outcome be that it creates a space for more arguments for privatisation to be made?

  6. A wealthy man setting a shining example to all the rich people who could easily perform similar acts of generosity. What a wonderful thing to do. TOP MAN !

  7. The NHS managers need to decide – who is the NHS for? Is it for patients – in which case prioritise spending on what matters: frontine staff and services. Or is it for yourselves – in which case continue spaffing money away on pointless vanity projects and bloated salaries for staff doing nonsense jobs with minimal tangible effect on healthcare.

  8. Sarah looked really dejected hearing this about Sky's beloved Tories its a surprise they did not cut Sir Rod off like they have other people when they have spoken the truth about this horrendous Government General Election please

  9. after perpetuating the covid rubbish all this time, putting the country into disarray with lockdowns and job losses…keep your money mate weve paid for this service and should be getting it..time too rise up….put labour in ??? please

  10. One of my friends works on a intensive care
    unit.
They have managers working from home 9-3pm managing 4 nurses each…..they are all on £80,000 a year…..the way NHS in run is frankly a joke….15 to 20 percent of NHS funding goes on compensation and lawyers…that needs to stop now!!!.
Absence in the NHS is also a joke.
You can't keep throwing money into a sieve

  11. Long waiting lists are common with socialized medicine. You need to privatize healthcare and get some for profit companies doing scans. In my town in the US, there is an MRI center where they'll do a scan for around 500 dollars without insurance. My Mom needed a scan and they scheduled one for the following day. She has insurance so it didn't cost her hardly anything.
