My theory is Daniel is Jin young is his real dad and her husband is the one that died from the DG and Choi incident. Tom maybe is the reason or was suppose to handle something where her husband shouldn't be even involved here but he did and died that's why Jin young was furious. The only one that knows the whole truth was her while the family blamed Jin young. Jin young maybe felt broken after that incident and left his beloved group even, and that's how the Gen 0's fists fully dissolve while gen 1 was happening and DG was cleaning up
Edit: also the reason maybe why jin young give Daniel to her is because he doesn't want him to get involve in a place where you can lose the ones you love in, he wanted Daniel to be free from this gang slaughters that's about money and power

Ok hear me out. Jinyoung is related to Daniel's father, (it could be his brother or a friend). But Daniel has two abilities: 1) copy ability 2) second body. We can see the relation of the copy ability with jinyoung. But where does the second body come from? It could be that jinyoung has/had a second body. Or that being friends with Daniel's father it could be that jinyoung knows that Daniel's father has a second body too. In fact when jinyoung heard of daniel's secret he said: you too? Also when jinyoung had a mental breakdown he was screaming: "no my brother!" The he mentioned elite. And we have a connection with Charles Choi.
