Everyone: (echo back)
Okonogi: The Buddhist priest skillfully drew a painting of a Buddhist priest on the folding screen. That was the only rebellion he could do.
Everyone: (echo back)
Kikoru: There is some seriously weird drama starting!
Mina: Shinomiya Kikoru, you’re out.
Okonogi: Tyranny that knows no bounds… If only there weren’t an evil governor…
Kafka: (echo back)
Okonogi (acting as a commoner): Mister governor sir, here is this year’s annual tribute.
Kafka: (echo back)
Okonogi (acting as the commoner): Its contents (the tribute) are raw wheat, raw rice, and persimmons that customers eat (also a play on words with being able to interpret it as customer-eating persimmons) .
Kafka: (starts to echo back) Wait, are they trying to assassinate the evil governor?!
Mina: Hibino Kafka, you’re out.
Kafka: Wait, what?
Mina: You’re all already out. How pathetic. This is only the first chapter. The customer-eating persimmon is only halfway through the first arc.
Reno: Why are these tongue twisters made into chapters?
Okonogi: By the way, in the fourth chapter, the unknown connection between the evil governor and the ancient Egypt Ptolemaios dynasty becomes clear.
Kikoru: I’m actually a little curious…
