I'm liking this season more than season 1 so far. Something I disliked about season 1 is that it felt kinda flat and shounen-y for most of it. It wasn't until episode 22 that it became "great" for me. Thus far season 2 is about Thorfinn's new environment and about how Thorfinn has changed from the events of season 1 which is way more appealing to me than the edgy dual knife wielding Naruto running viking superboy from season 1.

I've read it and they are doing a great job. The show looks great, that being said the manga's art is more detailed due to there being motion in the anime.
