I caught relics myself without appraising
1:18 or be smart and be lucky enough to get a abyssal enchantment on your rod so the hex relic is your only problem.
Edit: I got 10 relic that has abyssal

I got it by fishing for it at random in the ocean, and I sold it by mistake because I had enabled "Auto sell lengendaries"
btw, how does he have the no life rod at this level?

does appraising for abyssal still work? I've got 5+ of each type and 0 abyssal, lost about ~600k so far and have to farm for another entire rod

If the relic appraisal is completed during the mutation rush, it may be far less expensive. To obtain two of each with the appropriate mutations, it cost "only" 75k.
does using the depth key to open the wall save?
