The distant future, 5012.
The sudden aerial invasion of Earth by〈Aliens〉 and their creations 〈Machine Lifeforms〉 led mankind to the brink of extinction. The surviving number of humans who took refuge on the moon to organize a counterattack using 〈android〉 soldiers to recapture Earth. However, the war reaches a stalemate as the 〈Machine Lifeforms〉 continue to multiply infinitely. In turn, humanity deploys a new unit of android soldiers as an ultimate weapon: YoRHa.
Newly dispatched to Earth 2B joins 9S, the analyst currently stationed there, where amid their mission, they encounter a myriad of mysterious phenomena…

I really like this, but I'm not going to lie, a Nier Automata anime wasn't necessary, but I'm going to enjoy it a lot.

I kept picking up my controller while watching this episode and the OST kicked in lol
If they do make an English Dub they most likely won’t get the voice actor from the game to reprise his role as 9s. The reason being is because the actor for him, Kyle Mccarley has been fired from another anime from Crunchyroll which was Mob Psycho and since Crunchyroll is also doing this anime they will probably get someone else to voice 9s. And who knows, because of that they might even replace the whole English cast including 2B so it would be a fresh start

i can't help but to think that Vivy: Flourite Eyes Song is somehow inspired from this. also we have Tanezaki-san as Lily whom she voiced Vivy/Diva as well. can't wait to watch this series! 😊
