In Nagano, there was a famous fox named Genba who transformed into a human and played tricks. There's still a Genba Shrine, which is enshrined within the grounds of Kikyōgahara Shrine (Suwa God).
Genba's surname, Kazama, is "風間," also read as "Fūma." Fūma clan appears in Japanese video games, manga (esp. Naruto), anime, and dramas, and is known for serving a 🫢🫢🫢-related clan during the Sengoku period, 200 years later.

10:17 I think I know of a manga that goes by something along the lines of “Elusive Prince”. It’s about a prince who’s second in line for the throne, so, he undertakes shady dealings to keep the kingdom and his brother from having to get his hands dirty.
