Ok, I know Shiren(紫煉) likes to play with his whammy pedal "on top" of his whammy bar and this solo is a great example of it ! He's done it in his different projects (I bet he's done it in XI/ラドック hah!). The high E on 0:06 is definitely played with the pedal and not with the bar, but I prefered to match his move on the MV. Then, descending lick was meant to be all upstroked but I messed up.
The harmonic at 0:22 is octaved by the pedal while the bar adds a bit of vibrato. Also I have to jump a bit on top of the expression pedal to turn it off and continue the solo.
Starting on 0:24 and 0:29 I decided to reach the notes by bending instead of playing them in the correct frets, just adds a bit of expression and I think it goes nicely !
After the solo, at 0:39 I'm just BSing my way through the riffs/licks. I know this song is on Drop D but on a 7-string, an unusual tuning but not if you know some Unlucky Morpheus tunes already. I'm playing on E standard since this guitar has just been set up so it plays and sounds amazing ! I hope you liked this short video. I'm testing my new laptop and seeing if the programs function correctly ….
