Shoutout to the animators for blending 2D and 3D so seamlessly that you almost can't even tell. At 16:05–19:11 the characters' bodies/clothes are 2D while their hair and faces are 3D, but they match the style so well you really have to look hard to see the transition
Also the fact that there's more video compression on the clip segment at 22:55 since it's supposed to be a YouTube video that Miyu's watching is just chef's kiss

I guess that Reddit post was right, Season 2 is awful.
Season 1 had the perfect setup for season 2.
The manager of Photon walked into the cafe in season 1, Plus there were those guys that were part of some group the cafe owner belonged to.
Basically season 2 should have been Happy Around being picked up by the producer that picked up photon creating a dynamic of "we want to do our own original thing".
The producer will be pushing one type of music onto Happy Around and Happy Around pushes back harder than Photon and maintains their identity. This inspires photon to make their own music and the two battle it out in a tournament. Photon actually beating out Peaky Pkey leading to the finals of Photon vs Happy Around where Happy Around actually loses again in the finals (so they can win in season 3)
Instead I'm sitting here scratching my head at 7:44 about why a Swallow took nest is more important than what I just mentioned. Stupid birds, Give me plot not bird watching!
