  1. Came here after seeing Crunchyroll awards. I will say World is not ready for this masterpiece. They are satisfied by highschool shonen anime (jjk) .As thorfinn said i need no enemies =i dont need awards to prove my worth.😊😊😊

  2. This scene was crafted so beautifully.. the background score, the animation, the dialogues, the beauty.. literally one of the most powerful scenes in the history of anime.. VS not winning a single award at the anime awards is just sickening

  3. Some people say that season 1 is better and say thorfinn is weak in season 2, but for me Season 2 is truly philosophical and they don't understand thorfinn's character development and how much he wants to atone for all the sins he has done.
This scene is truly great, it describes how thorfinns finally realizes everything and he takes his father's words.

  4. With the discussion of Thorfinns idealism in the comments, I think it is important to note from this scene, as the subject of pacifism is brought to the fore through Thorfinn's actions, that Thorfinn is not an absolute pacifist as is evidenced by his willingness to defend Gardar from Snake with the use of force, but maintains a much more understandable stance of conditional pacifism. In other words, he recognizes that in some situations, violence must be used to defend others. I think this adds weight to his words. Thorfinn has developed a pragmatic outlook on communicating and interacting with others based on both his past experiences and the words imparted on him by his father. It is the culmination of two seasons worth of character development, and it was so well done.

  5. I've heard enough of this "i have no enemies" thing. Will someone explain to me if i don't hurt my enemies but they want to hurt me, what should i do then??

  6. I'm not even kidding I think about Thorfinn everyday. Not in some grand way where he changed my life, but just in small moments, where I can feel an unnecessary anger creeping in, this makes me remember people are human, and to strive my best to be kind.

  7. A lot of people in modern society needs this word
They're make the enemy of themselves by not having the same opinion
How can you be enemy to each other when you hardly know any of them

  8. Love the anime. However i feel like I experienced the opposite of being like thorfin at 21 years-old in my earlier stages of life while his rage filled younger is my older self.

I started as a "gardener in a war" but want to become a warrior not to just prove I have it but to protect those around me. ( btw reading berserk next )
