  1. Imagine your entire squad gets merc'd by a random kid, then get mass revived afterwards. Man I'd retire and open up a noodle shop or shop or something. That soldier life getting too weird.

  4. How was no one shocked or surprised that a kid no matter how strong revived such a huge number of soldiers together. I mean he literally got them back from the dead. I expected a little fear or shock.

  5. This episode was a little… Cringe worth as it seems like his character got lost consistency, but if you think about it more, maybe he got his betrayal trauma reawakened and maybe his pride got hurt? Making him became quite reckless here… Not that he needed to worry though with his strength.

  9. They picked a fight with someone they should not have messed with. He wiped the floor with them to the point it was not even considered a fight, and as a FLEX he revived them (no one died).
    What makes this even more terrifying is that this is the Demon King protecting his friend the Hero.
    What an amusing twist on the Hero and Demon King story.

  17. For once i want to see an mc who actually keeps their own promise. Like this dude promised himself to keep a low profile but nope the story just had to ruin it. Do you honestly have no control over yourself? This is the reason you died in the first place. How many times do you need to die in order for you to understand it.

    Also they deliberately use the term "Devil King" (or Maou in Japanese) incorrectly in this anime. It's supposed to be some Great Evil. But in this anime Devil King is simply a powerful person.

    And whet's even more laughable Saika simply protects those dear to him. He doesn't really want to conquer the world. He doesn't want to rule. He just minds his own business. Simply stay away from those dear to him and you won't be harmed.

    I'd take this kind of Devil King over any other any day.

    Seika was very cruel and manipulative in the beginning of the anime. But he changed. He's a better person now. If humanity forces him to act – humanity deserves to be destroyed. Simple as that.

The switch up in character on this episode was crazy, bros been talking about being normal and playing it safe, and just a couple eps before the closest person to him almost gets turned into a sex slave for some spoiled prince and bro does nothing about it just yells at them. Now out of no where he decides to drop all that hard work to be normal and go to war with another country, killing 100s simply cause they arrested his friend💀. It just felt extremely forced and rushed in the last episode to the point where i was cringing at how retarded he is and wondering if i was even watching the same mc i've seen the last 13 episodes🤦‍♂️

  33. One thing that was lost in translation here was how the princess called him "Seika-sama". Japanese are pretty sensitive to which honorifics to use, I'm pretty sure the others in the scene noticed too.
    It happens at between 2:20 and 2:22, but was cut out in the edit. Even the English subtitles didn't catch it.

  36. Since I read the source material and currently up to date with the info, I'll provide the info that's missing and the whole context of this issue, sorry if my grammar is off or if the way that I write this is not perfect, also this is a spoiler warning for those who haven't read the novels.

    Firstly, let's understand seika a little bit before getting into it. Seika in his past life was all powerful and fearsome but lacked political insight and didn't knew how to navigate around the people since his main focus was to train to become strong and train his disciples of his school, that was his whole focus, he didn't care for politics. He gained prestige for his work in sealing demons and killing them and also defending his country from invaders, in turn he gains a lot of love from the normal people and the grudge of the nobles of his country since the people respected and loved him more than the nobles of the country and since he has grown so powerful his country couldn't control him nor kill him. So, they waited and framed him (not specified how) that he was a traitor of this country and used his most beloved pupil (that he loved as his daughter) to kill him. The reason that he died was the simple reason that no father would dare fight to the death with his beloved daughter, so he chooses to die than to kill his pupil. Now he started his new like as a kid named seika and now we understand why he doesn't want to stand out, he decided to avoid the spotlight to avoid getting betrayed like in his past life since that's become a huge trauma for him. He had every intention of avoiding the spotlight and just live quietly as possible, but he also won't just ignore issues that appear in front of him, so he dealt with them after weighing in the outcomes. When he meets amyu he is startled since she was the spitting image of the girl that killed him, so much so that he even though that she was the very same girl (not yet confirmed, for now she just looks like her) and somehow followed him, but since she didn't knew that spells and magic seika was casting and was clueless on seika's magic he concluded that she was not her, she just looks the same as her because if his beloved pupil who also was his strongest pupil was indeed reincarnated as amyu she would knew at first glance the magic and skills seika was using. He decided that he would just keep a close watch on amyu just in case his hypothesis is wrong, hence why at first, he was interested in her, but also noticed she was oddly being targeted to be killed which started to rub him the wrong way since it started to see similarities of him in her. When he learned that she was a Hero and was always being targeted he decided to protect her so she wouldn't end up being killed for fear of her potential power like he was.

    Now let's talk about princess Fiona, she is the princess of the country but also the daugher of a shrine priestess that has special abilities granted to them, the shrine priestess or Miko are forbidden to marry and have children. Since she was a forbidden child of a Royal and a Miku, she was hidden on confine in an area in the castle and had no contact with the outside for fear of her heritage gets known and a scandal happens. She gained the power to see the future while still hidden in the castle at a very young age (5 -8 years old). After she gains her powers, she learned of the future and the fate of her country, Seika destroyed the kingdom into the ground and killed everyone and was feared as the demon king, the reason for seika's rampage was the death of amyu, she was killed exactly the same way as him, the kingdom used her and then killed her because the Hero was no longer needed.

    Princess Fiona seeing this future decided to meet seika as early as possible and befriend him to avoid this outcome, but she had a problem, she was currently hidden away and confined so she couldn't meet him, so she spends using her status as princess and her powers of the future to control the kingdom from within. Fast foward some years and she now has influence over the kingdom and tried to meet seika in a way that wouldn't be suspicious of her since during her time over the years and with her powers she has come to know how seika thinks, behaves and his morals but most importantly his mistrust, seika doesn't trust people very easily, in fact he is very cautious of the people he meets, especially if those people are nobles. She, a princess will surely raise many alarms on seikas head that something is very wrong since normally a princess wouldnt meet with a normal child and even more so if he's heard of the rumors of her. Fiona using her powers of future sight meets seika many times and all outcomes would always end with him mistrusting her deeply. Fiona's power of future sight is not all powerful, so she cannot see every outcome but instead can see that outcome thats will happen. another way to explain her power is like a tree with branches, she sees the branches as possible outcomes, so shes been slowly navigating over those branches over the years, during her years of navigating it she concluded that no matter what she did if her meeting was not natural he will aways mistrust her so she recruited seika's brother as her personal knight, she had many powerful knight that are better at escorting her and even has hidden knight as her at all times, she was just using seika's brother as a point of contact to meet seika in semi natural way. Seika was still mistrustful of her nonetheless, but it was still within a tolerable limit.

    Now let's go back to Seika, from the moment he meets the princess he was wary of her from the start but gave her the benefit of the doubt since she seemed like a lonely girl looking to make friends. But he couldn't help but notice seeing signs of her trying to gain his favor for some reason and she was clearly looking to befriend him in an aggressive manner and that annoyed him and raised some alarm because he knows of her powers.

    The goal of the princess was to become close friend with seika and gain his trust so when the moment something happens seika will trust her to fix things so that he doesn't. When the moment of trust comes and amyu is branded a traitor and sent to jail, seika knew she will get killed like he was so that's when he storms the castle and start his rampage. In the original event before Fiona gained influence, amyu was killed before seika saved her which sparked his rage and burned, killed and destroyed everything into the ground. But since fiona gained some influence, she managed to keep amyu save in her cell and was not immediately killed. Which was a great achievement itself since almost every high-ranking person in the empire wanted to kill the Hero to avoid war with the demons, but the princess failed at another important task, she couldn't get seika's trust. He was extremely pissed because the princess was preaching to him about trusting her to make thing right to avoid major issues but seika took offense into that since seika knew from the beginning that not once has the princess was truthful or honest with him, but instead tried to manipulate him into doing what she wanted and, on her terms, just so she could ask him to stand down when the time came. Seika saw what she was doing to him was the same manipulation that killed him in his previous life, the princess after hearing that theres no way that he can trust her decides to just do damage control instead.

    With this the princess manage to change the future, it was not the best outcome that she was hoping for but it just enough to prevent seikas rampage, she failed to earn his trust but avoided destruction of the empire. Which lead to the current outcome, Seika doesn't trust the empire and the princess, so he decides to leave the empire and become fugitives since people still want to kill the Hero to avoid sparking another war. Later on its learned that Seika is half demon. They did a game of thrones on seika (Jon snow) Seika's Biological father (Gilbert) meets Seika's mother while exploring the demon realm, When he was born the priestess of the Demon identified Seika as the new demon King and wanted to take baby seika away from his parents to raise him as a tool of War, his parents escapes with seika but Gilbert got killed to ensure seika and his mother could escape. The mother went to the Blaise house and told him that seika was the child of Gilbert and that he was killed. After she left seika with Blaise she went away to ensure that no one could track seika since the demon will not stop searching for her no matter what until found. Blaise was told nothing about seika, only that he was Gilberts child and the woman that brought seika hid her identity and race telling nothing about seika being a half demon or that he was a demon king for fear that the brother might kill the baby. Blaise in turn raised Seika as his bastard child but still kept close watch of him since he didn't knew why Gilbert was killed.
