  1. What did Rachel Ziegler do to upset people ? I missed that. I watched the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and really enjoyed that, although I did feel she was the weakest thing in it.

  2. 100% Prof. Chato! I do hope the next one is great (or even just ok which would be a relief), but I'm stunned that Disney is seemingly doubling down on their direction in the theatre. Hasn't the repeated (!!) backlash and money loss been proof enough?

  5. The funny thing is everyone is making a big deal about this director but ignoring the elephant in the room. It doesn’t matter who directs the film. IT’S A REY FILM!!! It doesn’t matter who directs it. Spielberg in his prime could direct it and it wouldn’t matter. Either way there is no need to watch it.

    It’s going to be a terrible movie so she is exactly the right director for it…

  6. I am 65 years old.
    I am from Hollywood and was there for 48 years.
    All I wanted was to be an actor – nothing famous, nothing rich or glamorous – I was just a good actor, did my job really well, and it was fun for me.
    It never happened.
    I was one of hundreds of thousands of poor souls who believed the "fairy tale stories" about Hollywood – which is an open sewer, and where all movies, films,. tv shows and music are dedicated to Lucifer.
    So today?
    Today I am SO happy that I was nothing in Hollywood.
    To be linked – in any way, shape, or form – to these various horrors would be more then I could stand.
    It bad enough to have to see that the "abysmally stupid have inherited the Earth."

  13. I just Imagine a little boy playing with his star wars toys having the time of his life. The a bunch of angry middle aged women show up and slap the toys out of his hand and make him cry. They say “it’s time for women to shape starwars” and “I love to make men uncomfortable”.

  17. Existing fans? I've loved star wars since the 80s, Disney has pushed me to take down and give away all my s.w. merch, and avoid Disney projects like the plague.

  19. All the hate aside, I personally do not like the stories Disney is telling with Star Wars. So I just don't watch anything anymore. I saw the sequels, only the frist in the theaters pirated the others. Watched the first 2 seasons of mando, watched the first 3 episodes of kenobi and Boba fett, and then I was done. Just don't care.

  22. "Diversity Lottery winner". Genius, and exactly how many of these unexperienced, self-aggrandizing, upstart persons get their shiny jobs (which is all that shine about them).

  24. This director is pretty clueless. It's very odd because it shows she hasn't got a clue about Star Wars fans or how not to alienate 60 percent of the audience. I feel sorry for Daisy Ridley because there is no way this movie has any chance of being good. I suspect the studio will do a bunch of reshoots after test screenings tell them how bad this movie is before it releases.

    Everything they touch is ruined. Its almost as bad as the people at crunchyroll changing the dialogue of anime to incorperate western woke propaganda. That is why the japanese companies are looking into AI translation for subs.

  29. Not sure how being picked to make a movie is an "accomplishment." Making a good Star Wars movie would be an accomplishment, and if she does it, more power to her. But it isn't likely to happen when she has people around her telling her she has succeeded just by showing up and are making it perfectly clear that she can do no wrong. But they are right about one thing. For them, the accomplishment truly was getting the job.

  30. Star Wars is dead! They need to call this crap something else. Star Wars is Ep 4,5 & 6. Anything either side and onward is not star wars.

  31. Paul, I don't know if you watched the mini docco called "Light and Magic" a 6 part series of how George Lucas created Star Wars and how Industrial Light and Magic was born into existence. It was such a good retro look back at what made Star Wars and the franchise the hit it is (talking about the, eps 4, 5, and 6). I think it is part 4 of the minidoc that Darth Kennedy talks retro about Star Wars and it hurt listening the insincere garbage coming from her mouth and to know what she's been doing to Destroy ALL the George Lucas franchises. I'm kinda astonished why George hasn't gone Terminator on Darth Kennedy! I understand he's spoken up every so often but something seriously needs to be done with this sabotage freak Darth Kennedy…

    Where is Jon Favreau???? Haven't heard anything from him for months now???

  35. This is what happens when story telling gets replaced by a franchise mentality. The same would happen if “The Godfather” got “franchised”. We would be seeing an endless parade of mafia movies in which the latest mafia boss was changing dirty diapers and washing up the dishes while his super smart wife was telling him how to run “the family.”

  36. To be fair, it seems like this criticism should be held until after she directs the movie. Will it suck? Probably. But, we won't know for sure until it's done.

  38. Her episodes had to be reshot.
    Another director casting.
    She isnt qualified to make a major production.
    Disney will make the film. She is just thre to check a box.
