  1. Croncy please let SaltEmike talk and stop with your crazed fanboy copium with CIG. We need to hold CIG accountable and demand they do better instead of locking their boots

  2. I have to agree, the best mission was and still is both covalex and tesa and they both are just voice. But they both have so much depth and I felt immersed into it than what the mission givers are now.

  3. They do this every year. They hype up the whales and pull the rug. The game is still abysmal adding another location to go to for the game to be completely broken is pointless.

  4. I wanna see the players being the ones to take all the supplies initially to the Pyro system stations once the jump gates open!

  5. Citcon will be memorable whatever it is. Backers looking for ambitious game and understanding the difficulty and meaning of alpha will valid progress done and future iterations, naysayers will pretend everything is crap, "proof" of incompetence and so on. Nothing new. However what is not new is that CIG is spending every single $ to develop ambitious games while publishers keep delivering sequels of sequels year after year… Hence the support to CIG: 1.7 million individual backers in 2022 and counting.

  6. I'm not sure if it's been said enough, but Croncy is a nice addition to ATC. Between the two of you, there's a nice balance of opinions and hot takes. Croncy lookin like a handsome Gimli probably helps too. lol

  7. Not sure how the crash protection is supposed to work but I’ve never spawn back in from a crash right where I left off. I’m in a hab of the last place I was at that had one and my ship has stayed where I crashed. God forbid if I happen to crash at a place where I couldn’t jump too. Like a delict sight I just had to spend 15 minutes flying to because I couldn’t get any closer from a jump point

  8. Good show, Mike and Croncy. Couple thoughts regarding the Jump Points: 1) I don't think it's much of a mystery why they added the locations. In the recent Monthly Report, the Economy team mentioned that they added in the JP locations to give the Hull C and other cargo traders more destinations and variety. 2) obviously, you don't deserve to receive threats or be harassed due to your opinions. That said, I think SC has engendered a protective mechanism to be pessimistic about news, and sometimes that manifests externally as telling other people not to be excited. You probably noticed on Spectrum, not even a day after the JP appeared, a lot of posts started popping up "Why are you excited?", "Don't be excited!", etc. Gatekeeping excitement isn't a good look for anyone, versus "Why I'M not overly excited".

  9. Honestly, mocap is overrated. Starfield's animations look perfectly fine to me, good even; but then, I'm also apparently in the minority of people who thinks Starfield looks graphically great. All mocap and this fascination with graphical fidelity does is draw resources from both developers and the players' systems away from other things that could be absolutely grander than what we've got. Earth Defence Force is a game with ok graphics, but it puts all your system's power into rendering giant waves of bugs for you to fight, and it's amazing. Imagine that in our space games.

  10. No mention of Nyx, which is the one I'm most interested in. They moved my favourite station there (ironically though I can't remember its name) but it was an alternative to Grim Hex and was located out past CRU L5. I loved that place because you could land there even if you had a bounty but it didn't seem to attract as many desperado's as GH does. .. Anyway, when they removed the station from the game CIG said it would reappear when the Nyx system came online.
