This anime, Fate/Strange Fake, written by Ryohgo Narita (the author of Durarara and Baccano) originally started as an April fools joke intended to be an rpg style game. However, it was turned into a light novel and manga years later. Both of which are still being published. It’s a spin off of the original Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night stories and takes place in America instead of Japan. This unfortunately isn’t going to be a full anime but a hour or so long special that will probably just cover the first volume of the novel.
If you’re interested in getting into Fate I’d recommend starting with the Fate/Zero anime since it’s the easiest and most beginner friendly starting point to the franchise. It’s my favorite Fate and one of the best anime I’ve ever seen.
If you have any questions about Fate or the watch order or stuff I can help, it’s a pretty expansive and confusing franchise that most newcomers are daunted by.

Man really said King Arthur as the 1st servant he could think of. It’s understandable, but the demeanor of the person should have clued you in that it was not Arthur.
I mean any version of Arthur, not even Fate just the mythological one probably wouldn’t act with such disdain and look of superiority 😂.

Also, I know someone else said you probably shouldn’t start with this series and should start with fate/zero, then the fate/stay night ubw, then the fsn heavens feel movies, then whatever show, game, movie after that. That would be the normal way.
However, I also would like to see people watch fate/strange fake without having seen the previous series, you’ll miss out on some references, but I think it would be fun to see.
actualy Fate/Strange Fake have 12 Servant and 1 Extra Class Servant (Watcher) . on this Holy Grail War is like you participate in 2 holy grail wars (False Holy Grail War & True Holy Grail War) held at the same place and time but of course there is only one holy grail that can be claimed. for that reason there are 13 summoned servants, this is similar to the Great Holy Grail war in Fate Apocrypha but in this war there is no division of the Red and Black team system, because in the Holy Grail War in Fate Strange Fake all sarvants will kill each other like Holy Grail in general (Battel Royal 13 servants). The True name of Servant who participate is :
Saber : Wandering King, Richard Lionheart (King Richard I on England, and Big Fans Arthur even his Noble Pantasma name is Excalibur, his situation is like Mandricardo in Fate Grand Order who Big fans of Troya Hero, Hector)
True Archer : The Distorted Hero, Alcides (Hercules Alter ?) The human side of Heracles whose divinity and immortality has been lost through interference from his Master's Command Spells awakening past memories from his life and mud from the Fuyuki Grail. In a way, he could be called Heracles Alter, although he refuses to be called as such.
False Archer : The King of Heroes, Gilgamesh
True Lancer (Watcher) :He is a unique Servant, that is supposed to guide Sigma (His Master) into becoming the True Lancer, he is complicated Servant because he is not just one Heroic Spirit but many Heroic Spirit became one as Watcher (this is different from hassan 100 personalities, because even though there are many of them they still use one name, namely Hassan i Sabbah. But Watcher really has 7 different personalities with different names, he is more like a mixture of 7 Heroic Spirits combined into one container , he really can summon a heroic spirit with a completely different personality, name, Sex, form and even Noble Pantasma according to the Heroic spirit that is in battle)
False Lancer : The Chains of Heaven, Enkidu
True Rider : The Queen of Amazons, Hippolyta. Child of Ares, the god of war, and Otrera, a priestess of Artemis. She is also the older sister of Penthesilea (Berserker form Fate Grand Order) and many other amazons.
False Rider : The Embodiment of Disease, Pale Rider, he is a natural enemy of Enkidu, because in the legend Enkidu dies by the curse of the gods, then Fales Rider can kill Enkidu regardless of how much Enkidu's strength is, he can kill him with a little effort (this situation is similar to Fate Apocraypha where Semiramis prepares Hydra poison to kill Chiron if only Semiramis fought Chiron.)
True Caster : François Prelati, he is Friend and Teacher form Gilles de Rais, of course he is who make Gilles de Rais became killer children in the history of Gilles de Rais.
False Caster : The Author of Monte Cristo, Alexandre Dumas, (Avenger : Edmond Dantès, So that right he can create a Heroic Spirit) his Noble Phantasma is semilar like Shakespeare on Fate Apocrypha who he can make weapons that can compete with Noble Phantasms from a servant (Artificial Noble Phantasma) for his own rank at least he can make from Rank E to B, while for the Noble Phantasma class he can make from Anti-Personal Noble Pantasma like Cú Chulainn's Gae Blog to An Anti-Army Noble Pantasma is like Modered's Claret Blood Arthur, although it's likely that both his Rank and class of Noble Phantasma will fall if overused and will be destroyed at the end of it.) all the weapons that the soldiers are holding in one of the scanes in this Pv are creations of Fales Caster.
