My journey with fate started when the Unlimited BW movie dropped. Shortly after, my best friend gave me the visual novel for Fate Stay Night (HF is my favorite arc, and it ties in to Garden of Sinners). I love Zero (got wavers command seal tattooed), I also enjoyed Apocrypha. I don't care for Fate Gotcha (Fate Grand Order). Fate/Strange Fake looks like fun.

Can someone explain to me how the story in the fate series is important at all? I watch every single fate release and to this day I do not understand…. I mean every new fate is basically a new world ending calamity and every new fate basically starts from zero no? How is anything that happened before relevant at all if it effectively gets reset to zero anyways in the next installment?

Never seen the Fate series, but I love mythology and history and I've had a couple friends mention this but also how the series is nutty to get into. Saw this came out and decided to watch it, didn't regret it one bit. That Gilgamesh and Enkidu fight was amazing. I will definitely watch the series but looks like I might have to do some homework while I wait.
