this anime is MASTERPIECE and full life of lessons
Very well animated according to the Manga and I thank all the Mappa staff for keeping it real. This season is a masterpiece and next week we see our boy reunion with his mother and sister after years
Thorfinn just became what his father and Askladd failed to be and wanted him to become. They must be so proud of him up there. And also big up to Canute. He never wanted violence but the responsibilities kept him caving in. This whole season is a masterpiece.
Despite how fictional is this, Thorfin actually based on real person then Author fill the blank of his story with his imagination
I feel you Bellz, that scene between Thorfinn and Einar was the most beautiful scene I've ever seen in anime, the level of build up and depth that went into it is crazy. I also cried when I read it in the manga. I also got the same feeling of wanting to be like Thorfinn.
And I have to say it, Vinland Saga changed my whole perception about fiction, it was the first time a realized fiction can actually teach you something, it can teach you a way of life. Since then, I've been searching more stories that has this kind of effect.
I'm glad you guys loved this season, it was really amazing, there's one more episode and there are definitely more material for at least two more seasons. If season one was the prologue, then this season was the introduction to the Vinland Saga story, it's a story about building that place that can be more appealing than death, the author is serious about that and he works throughout every arc teaching us how to build it, it's his life mission. There are many more beautiful scenes to come, I hope you guys stay here to watch them in the future.

Truthfully this is when Vinland Saga actually begins, not when it ends. This is when the title actually becomes relevant to the plot.
Context from the manga:
Canute was finally recognized as a legitimate sovereign and a king
Ketil lost all of his motivation to work and resigned himself to retirement
Olmar took Ketil's place as the head of the farm and compensated to those who were injured by selling half of Ketil's farm
Thorgil wandered of alone and nobody seen or heard of him again
Thorfinn, Leif and Einar is on their way back to iceland (Episode 24)

It's far from over. Plenty of new developments and dope moments in the future.
But if this is the last season of VS that we get, then it's definitely a beautiful note to end it on
