The movie was trash, but your cupcakes are glorious looking.
Maleficent and Alice in Wonderland were the closest we’ve gotten to a great live action Disney remake. They’re p much all soulless and worse than the original, and it has nothing to do with diversity. Bad acting, cutting out vital scenes, uninspired directing that literally does NOTHING different from the original besides making the bold move of having no charm whatsoever…
In general, they all have the sole goal of capitalizing on nostalgia and it really disappoints me that these disney cash grabs get more attention than the actually original movies that are coming out alongside them. I want this era of live action remakes to stop.
It'd be weird if they added le poisson, bc its live action and we'd actually see fish being chopped up. Also Halle is vegan idk if she'd like that lol
How dare they not have the chef's "I love little fishies " song!
Sorry Mimo but you just experienced the same problems that happen in all Disney live action movies. They take out iconic moments/songs and sometimes even characters 😔
I cried three times
I have not seen it but I remember seeing a hard-core disney fan content creator (like he buys everything that comes out like doorables or the dessert themed ones I forgot what they're called) talk about the movie and they said mostly similar stuff but then they said that it was good they removed Le Poisson. He said how "it was a detour in the original". I just sat there like "Well screw comedic parts for movies ig"
OMG same. I missed the sparkly dress scene. I love loved love the movie. But its the ending i wished they kept the same. And yeah I also missed Vanessa's song to the mirror. Abd even the 'body language' quote.
Aw i just watched it just last night too. I just realized they took out the crab song! But i did love it too! I cried too. The glittery dress was on my wishlist and total let down.
The movie was MAGICAL🧜🏽♀️✨ My inner child came out and was in awe🥹 Everyone was so beautifully casted (including her sisters) but wow, Halle as Ariel blew me away!! Perfection🙌🏽✨
To answer your question how he can have 7 different race looking children is because their mother has the Eve gene 🧬 which means her children can come out with any color skin tone, eyes and hair color.
I haven’t watched the new little mermaid but I do agree with the songs because they did the same in the lion king!!! What happened to zazu singing his coconut song? Also timones song about eating pumba!? Truly sad
Im going to see it today
They look so good
I watched this at least dozen times just to hear Mimo sing
I loved the movie and im not hating on it but they had a lot of liberty to change the race of ariel. dont get me wrong shes beautiful and played the role well but they made a HUGE change to the whole movie making her a different race. i dont really care but the probably shouldnt have done that anx they probably knew atleast half of our population would be pissed🤷♀️
To me, it seemed like they're were going for Brandy's Cinderella route and tried blind casting. I think this would have worked out better if [spoiler ahead]
Prince Eric wasn't adopted.
I Watched it in 3-D
Wait, so they cut out parts of iconic songs to add Scuttlebutt?
I did not to many missed parts
They did have the scene where she came on the rock and the wave was behind her I'm pretty sure you just missed that part
They didn’t have the blue dress? 🙁
One mama like mother nature. Its deeper in this movie!
How is making a little mermaid a black girl diversity and inclusion? Why don’t you take a story from Africa because there’s many princesses in Africa Ashanti was a queen and turn those stories into a Disney princess stories. Instead of throwing a bone to the black population and giving them a old tired story about a white mermaid from Norway. Basically, they’re trying to throw a dog a bone.
I'm not a fan of them trying to change things that are original to the character. For instance… she's not black.. and she has BRIGHT RED HAIR. Along with the other things they have changed. Frankly I'm put off at Disney. Somethings don't need to change. Movies for instance. History. Etc. This world is TOO SENSITIVE.
how are you going to close it ? does the cake not get ruined ?
I also dun like how they did flounder so dirty 🥲🥲🥲
I mean tbf if I remember right the only reason she has the sparkly blue dress is because she couldn’t be totally naked at the end lmao
The movie was just too dark for me. I know it’s under the sea and under the sea is dark but I didn’t like that.
Beautiful cupcakes what to Diff you use? You make me want to see the movie!
I like that they could have kids of every race they’re not human they’re godlike so they populate
Did so much yet so little at the same time 😔
REMEMBER THE SWAMP REMEMBER MY SONG IN THE SWAMP
So I am weird but when I saw the movie my immediate thought when I saw ariel's sisters was 'oh there based off teleost fish😅'. Fun fact but teleost fish are a very diverse type of invertebrate that live in a large range of the ocean. When triton said that the sisters lived in different regions of the ocean that's why I felt validated lmao. I am probably wrong but it was my thought. Beautiful cupcakes either way
I was so sad that they cut Les poisson. I didn’t think they translated Part of Your World well into live action. I loved the other songs though and the new ones.
It’s based on the original tale. He had daughters that represented the waters in which they were born. However the original Disney movie decided to not include it and make them “match”.
Now that I've seen the movie, I can share my thoughts. I totally agree with the Tritan part, the whole diversity thing was giving corporate. It just felt really forced, plus they took away all of the sisters' A names. 🙁 overall though it was one of their better live action movie. I cried my own self, it reminded me so much of why I love The Little Mermaid🥹🩷
