The initial call from the chair was a warning before Marie Bouzkova and Sara Sorribes Tormo, Sutjiadi and Kato’s opponent, highlighted to the umpire that the ball girl was clearly distressed. The supervisor was then called to the court and the decision was made to disqualify the pair.

  1. I don’t understand why SST gets so much hate for this scene?

She Asian Lady hit the ball out of frustration, so it was her fault and risk to get the default.

All the crying babies her beeing so anti-human in the comment section should think about their own behavior instead!!!

  2. Wow what a drama queen 👏, why are you a ball girl if you don't expect accidents like this, her weakness and pettiness disgusts me,her parents must be ashamed of how spoilt their brat is.

  3. One thing that made a huge difference was the fact that the girl was crying. And it was a light balloon ball, thrown without any intention to hurt. So, her reaction was totally exaggerated. Let's be honest. A normal human being would not cry for that.

Since the ball girl does not have the aptitude to participate, she should be removed from the tournament as well. I hope organizers did that, since she is occupying the spot of another kid who could properly do the job.

  4. That’s rediculous 😂 y tf do they have kids as ball ppl ofc they gonna b sensitive adults wouldn’t cry at that

  5. – She did not do it on purpose, and the girl was not injured – the judge argued, but the Czech and the Spaniard were not going to let go.

    – She didn't do it on purpose? The girl is crying – Sorribes Tormo stressed, demanding that the consequences be drawn.
    ULTIMATE ARGUMENT xD

  6. Typical. Unfortunately you have these few spoiled, pathetic, players who will do anything to win. When you see the replay, I think Kato was hitting it to the ball girl so she could catch it on the fly (IT WAS NOT HIT HARD). Granted the girl is probably 10 years old why was her instinct to duck instead of catch it? And why doesn't the French Open official watch video???? No, you're DQ'd cause someone got "hurt".

  7. that was the lightest hit ball ever she literally had so much time to react to that tennis ball headed right at her lol

  8. Remember when Nadal hit a ball girl? That girl took it like a champ. She understood it was a completely uncontrollable mistake. What has gotten into kids these days?

  9. 明らかに故意ではないし、感情のまま行ったことでもない。さすがに失格は厳しすぎる。アピールする対戦相手も、それを受け入れる審判や運営も非常に殘念。

  10. The saddest part is, no adults were actually thinking about the well-being of the ball girl. She will be forever associated with this controversy. If everybody had helped her feel better on the spot, including Sorribes Tormo and Bouzkova instead of arguing for the disqualification, one day all this would have been a funny memory for her. Instead all the adults used her for their own gains.
